Thanks for the impressions. That's exactly what I wanted to hear.

11 hours playing a game, credit after credit is plenty for me. I've since put more hours into it.

All I wanted to give was a non-biased opinion of the game, which is what I felt I did.

I appreciate the positive encouragement, but I'm very capable of judging whether or not I like the game.

This one just isn't clicking.

Maybe you will find it to be a perfect fit, who knows?

I hope he's not just overreacting, and if that's not the case and the game is THAT hard, I'm really getting turned on
If you cleared Ketsui and/or DOJ without many problems, I think you will really enjoy this game.

It really is that difficult.

That pretty much explains all the "ESPANOL????" I get in online games.
Probably. Has it a meaning in Finnish?

Btw, could TonK some slack, not liking a game doesn't mean the game is bad. You know, different opinions? ;-)

Oh come on, I didn't say that the game is bad, I think it's actually good after reading TonK's impressions, sad fact is that I'll propably never get to play this.
And no, my name doesn't mean anything in finnish
No, you didn't say that the game's bad, but your words implied that you were thinking that tonk was thinking the game were bad...

Tihihihihi...

Just goofing around, don't take me too serious. I'd love to try the game out, but I guess I'll have to wait for the inevitable iOS port sooner or later. But I can wait, I got so much left to play, I almost can't cope. And with my young familiy and all, time is really tight. :-)

Played 5 hours straight when I got it, 6 hours straight e following day. Stage 4 boss (who immediately wasted me) was the best I could do. And it was a VERY lucky run.

I believe people who play these games reach a peak. Some continue to become amazing at these games, some level off, like me - just above average.

When I'm really enjoying a game, I get into a zone, like I'm sure you have.
I said the same things about Ibara the first few times I played it. I actually hated the looks and didn't find it much fun to play. Even the first time I owned it I found it frustratingly difficult and the patterns undodgeable.

Now... All that is gone. It's still massively difficult but I've surpassed anywhere I expected to get with the game. I've likely sunk more than 100 hours on it and still enjoy it, even level 1.

Thanks Tonk for honest impressions. I had a feeling it was a little soulless aesthetically, but the jury is out on playability until I get a chance, since I do like them tougher. If it's a slight step up from DOJ I might be able to click with it, if it's Futari Ultra or Pink Sweets tough then probably not.

It seems a lot harder at first, but once you get the hang of it it's not so bad. I cleared it after a week of a few credits a day in the arcade, so the top players on this forum will burn through it in no time. I'd say it's about as hard as Ketsui or DOJ WL (first loops), but not as tough as Pink Sweets. Expert feels like DDP loop-difficulty, but not as bad as Futari Ultra.

Personally, the difficulty of the game feels just right. It isn't ridiculous but it makes you work, and the scoring is easy to understand and flexible. Stage 5, once you start refilling hypers and pushing the chain past 10,000, is a blast and one of their most satisfying stages in a long time.

Exactly the same here cools ;)

Unlike Ibara though SDOJ is love at first play for me. Fast, stylish and satisfying really sums this game up!

I havnt read all of this thread, but how complex is the scoring? I'm wondering if it's that hard to 1CC but rather simple to play for score CAVE title everyone here was saying they wanted CAVE to make 6 months back?

Chain, hyper, collect.

It's pretty boring actually, IMO.

It's definitely a step up from DOJ - it may click with you.

Its not Futari Ultra tough, but above Futari Maniac from Stage 3 on.

The patterns aren't like Futari though. They're tough. Just when you think you're through it, you're dead.

Seems which chain drop is DFK 1.5 based, this: (Out of hyper mode) When your chain start at drop you hyper bar will drop together, when your hyper bar reaches zero your chain will be cut.

Game looks amazing. And I love the soundtrack. The redesigned DaiOuJou bosses are beautiful, too. Only problems are the increasing amount of loli and the annoying constant chatter. I'm assuming this is DoDonPachi norm now, unfortunately. It couldn't stop me from playing it, but still... :/
