Are you saying that if IKD dies, Ketsui boards will be impossible to buy?

back on topic: Ive been waiting every fucken day to wake up to find out a release date for Ketsui and it still hasnt happened and its fucken pissing me off...i dont think ketsui will ever be ported..waht the hell is taking so goddamn long?????

We aren't responsible for the port, unfortunately.
Ask Cave / 5PB ? (or the ones responsibles for the port)

I highly doubt a copy of DOJBLEX will increase much in price, even the first print. Absolutely every where still has them in stock. :?

I just got DOJ-BLEX today, and the controller stops responding in the menus, thus forcing me to unplug it and plug it in almost everytime I select an option in the settings. Please tell me this is a known bug, and not my controller... Everything works perfect IN-GAME though. I got to level five on my first credit even. :shock:

It's not your controller. The menus, sadly, have to load. Just be patient and they will function after a second or two.

Thank god! Now that's something I can live with. On another note, do I need to actually play the game for 6 hrs to get the extra mode unlocked or, will keeping my XBox on do the trick?

It's actual playtime. You can check your accumulated playtime under the achievements list in the extras menu.

I wonder if our playtime/stats/achievement progression will be reset when the patch/DLC hits? Wouldn't surprise me...better farm your achievements now before it's too late!

It isn't actually possible to remove obtained achievements.

But it's possible for them to make achievement goals harder, ie. beating Hibachi without continuing over and over like you can right now. And even if they did that now, it's pointless because everyone already cheesed their way through the game.

Unlike Deathsmiles, 5pb didn't bother segmenting achievements all across the different game modes so you could still wipe out Hibachi without much effort by 1CCing X-Mode.

It seems there might be something amiss with my controller in conjunction with DOJ-BLEX after all. I have a hacked MadKatz Arcade stick -> JAMMA and play in my cabinet. Every time I select an option in the menu (Arcade Mode New version, 1P Side, etc) the controller stops working and needs to be plugged in again. I tried waiting for quite some time. I guess I'll have to try using my Wireless pad to see if the problem persists. Once the game has started, everything works perfectly though. In the dashboard everything works, and I have no problems with DeathSmiles either. Weird stuff.

My Madcatz hack did exactly the same thing dude.

Only in Deathsmiles the normal fire didn't work properly either, tapping gave an intermittent stream of bullets rather than a constant one which was well annoying.

I've reverted to using a wireless controller now and everything is fine.

Shame I can no longer put the 360 in my cab though :(

I would be more concerned with them resetting the incremental achievements, like resetting your score and star count to 0. It takes awhile to accumulate those percentages!

CAVE has currently sent a list of parts of Ketsui that need to be changed to the dev team (5pb + Aqua?), but the development situation is not good and the game will probably not be able to come out this year. The 5pb license is frozen so CAVE can re-port the game if they want, but Asada is busy until next summer with a full schedule and doesn't have time.

In other words folks: TOP HATS FOR ALL

Does it play any easier than the original and/or does it have more difficulty settings than the PS2 version? I have a hard time getting motivated to play it, because there's NO way i'm getting past stage 3. Kinda ruins the motivation.

I have a hard time determining if the difficulty settings even work to be honest. It seems to "stick" maybe for one credit but then after the game I have to reset it before I play again. It's kicking me around too, but I do think that Black Label is a bit more accessible.

Black Label is easier quite a bit, and has easier / better scoring opportunities.
It's practically raining hypers.
And it feels like the hitbox on A-Type is smaller, but i'm not sure on that.
@ash: practice. really. i am certainly not very good, but even i made it to the end of stage 4.
crowd control and destroying the bullet-cancelling guys at the right time will help you getting through stage 3.

Hrmm...i'd probably snag that 360 version, if I was positive that patch was coming, and it would fix the loading...

Honestly I wouldn't even let the loading get in the way, but I'm confident that a patch is coming. But who knows I guess...

Ugh that's harsh news about Ketsui, although any news is good news at this point I suppose (thanks for posting this btw). Luckily I'm a patient guy and it sounds like too much work has been done porting this already for it to be scrapped completely, hopefully.

About DOJBLEX, never played either console release but that needs to change soon. From what I gather the graphics and sound are the same on both PS2 and 360, but 360 has an alternate (easier) mode and a few bugs and loading issues... is that an accurate summary? Is there some other glaring difference that I'm unaware of (both games include original "white" label and also black label yes?)

BLEX has a new character that is always in hyper and the ps2 has no black label. Other than that you are correct.

The PS2 version is only White Label; the only way to play Black Label without a PCB is the 360 release.
