1cced BWR today in my spare time. Default settings on normal. First time I ever play past the first level, done it in one go too. This game is too easy. Way too easy. I later tried turning on accell and switching autoguard off. And then the game proceeded to kick my ass. I believe they should have made these the default settings.

Not much of a big deal, but I was play SDOJ today and got a 1UP out of the Stage 4 mid boss. I guess this means I didn't bomb or die. Usually I bomb or die, so this was awesome! I still have no idea if I'll be able to clear this one. Either way, I'm going to keep playing because hyper recharging has made this game so satisfying.

You can die, just not bomb. It really helps to have a big hyper waiting for taking it down fast.

Not taken much stock in this game, but I quite have decided this past month to try and beat this. So I finally got a 1cc of Original difficulty of Blue Wish Resurrection plus. I don't think I want to know what this game is like on Hell. And after all these years this is only my second 1cc ever.

I didn't die in that run, but I bombed to hell. I'm not at all sure. The loop requirements always confused me. I've heard different things, but nothing ever concrete like find all the bees and don't die. Or don't continue. Don't die or bomb. Don't die, bomb, get all the bees, and get a high score of...whatever the fuck. So I just stopped caring. lol

I didn't die, bombed like fuck, only got all the bees of stages 1-4, and well there's my score. So whatever requirements I met with those stats, I guess is it. lol

the options are

Under a certain number of deaths
Under a certain number of bombs
All bees in 4 stages without dying between the first and last bee
a high max chain dependant on which ship you use
at least 50,000,000 score

So you met 2 of the potential requirements. You only have to do one of those to loop as long as you don't continue.

Mental burn out can be a real hazard sometimes. Sometimes I die to relatively easy stuff too just after achieving something fairly difficult.

No miss the stage 5 boss in Esp Galuad II blind, die from one shot fired by a zako 15 second later. etc.

Nah, it's okay. For a Saturn port it's fine, and I love to play around with the zooming.
Comparing things to arcade originals isn't really healthy in the long run.

It gets a fail from me though, unfortunately. My thoughts on it are better catalogued elsewhere, but basically there is a bug in it that utterly breaks certain paths. While obviously every path is not as severely affected by it, the fact I have to plan my route around the game's brokenness is damning in my book. It mostly just makes me sad, as the port is so so close to being excellent. This day in age I couldn't recommend it to anyone with the true arcade version being widely available in other formats.

Alright, while this isn't all that special compared to some of the guys here (Still amassing my shmup collection (I really should get Ikaruga, so I can get it, that's one of many that I plan to get. I almost feel like I'm the only one who hasn't played that one, yet ), and I should be a lot more active on shmups this coming summer), in the weekend that passed some time ago, I managed to do my 1st 1cc Hard mode clear of Ten Desires using Sanae Kochiya! I did this, as of late night Sunday/very early morning Monday. I put this one together to show to the people at the arcade place of the university I go to this coming Thursday, and this was the one I was sure to get pretty easily. However, I didn't really think I would get this down over the weekend, I really didn't that much time into it, maybe a few hours a day in the weekend, but it actually worked out, so now, I actually got a show set up for the shmup talk at the arcade place this coming Thursday to show to the new guys who want to know more about shmups!

So far, at the moment, I have a screenshot of the feat, I'll get the replay up whenever, either at Gensokyo replays or on my YouTube channel (When I get that one established).

Now, I just wait for the part, where I do the show this coming Thursday! Incidentally, this will make it my 3rd Hard mode clear done for the Touhou series! I use a PS3 controller to play Touhou, in-case anyone wanted to know.

Probably doesn't deserve a post here, but I finally cleared rRootage stage 6A, and then followed up with a 6B blind clear (though was literally down to 0 lives 0 bombs at the end of that, though) I think I was basically out of energy by the time I tried to clear 6C though, because I couldn't. Also it would have been hard to clear blind, I think.
Hurray for having more than half of rRootage completed!
