Ha!
I've wanted it badly too, for some time...found it on eBay a while back for over $250!
I was like fuuuuuuuug that!

Bob...er, caldwert, actually sold it to me...$60. I tried to get him to sell it to me at the meet :)
Totally worth it to me.

He's selling off a bunch of his stuff, I also got Fever SOS from him, too.

Now I'm looking for an AFFORDABLE, non kit, 'Galuda or Ibara...
I've promised myself that once I get those, I'll chill for a bit :)

We'll see...

MVS GET!

Some appear to be bootlegs, no serials - but they are older games....did SNK not serial older games?

I scored the lot for $60 shipped...so no biggie - they WORK, and to me, that's all that's important.

You can't tell 100% from the labels if they're bootlegs, the only certain way to find out is to open the game and see if the number on the roms matches the game's number. However, from purely a label perspective your games look legit.

Some games didn't have serials, other had them on separate stickers on the game. Labels also get replaced a lot.

Here's a list of label pictures and game numbers (NGH#) so you can compare:

The USA region PCB variant of Taito's FX-1B powered Raystorm ain't too shabby either...it's an ol' favorite arcade shmup title of mine. Quite an experience to play it compared to the later PSX release of the same name. Is regarded as the very last Taito arcade PCB conversion kit to be released for the U.S. arcade market (before Taito of Japan shut down it's Taito of America arcade division). What a way to go out with a bang with Taito of America, hmmm?

Learn to do it right, by tiping the cab onto its back. I can rotate an astro in under 10 minutes, its not a big deal. Better to buy two astros for the price of one egret if you have the space.

I agree with Dave K. That's the route I went, and its really nice having both setups rather than rotating constantly. I have 1 vert, 1 hori, 1 MVS and consider myself pretty set.

Nice Gigawing kit, 'ninja! I've never seen a CPS2 full kit like that....

I'd love to score GW and Mars Matrix...oh and Dimahoo...to round out all the CPS2 games I actually care about....

Haha, yeah, I never even thought of doing that either.

And it's not quite a full kit, didn't get the marquee, but it's not like I'd have a place for it anyway. And yeah, I'll have to track down Mars Matrix and Dimahoo eventually. And of course Progear if I get a real good amount of change handy.

So, I have those two also

Are those your 1st 2 SH3 boards? I remember that those were my 2nd and 3rd, I was so happy when I got those.... especially Mushi.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Got a Ghosts 'n Goblins pcb - with a whole cab attached! Going old school...
Super clean (totally restored) and a great addition to my small collection of old-school cabs.
(burn in is not nearly as bad as it looks with the flash - )

Cool find there, drboom. I haven't seen such a fabled dedicated G'n'G cab since the golden age of arcades back in the early to late 1980s. I'd insert a quarter into a G'n'G cab at a local pizza parlor and it'd eat me up and spit me out due to it's hard-as-nails difficulty factor. I was more skilled on the classic Romstar/Capcom cabinet conversion of Hyper Dyne Sidearms (circa 1986) back in 1988-1989 -- would take a mere two quarters to finish it off and watch the staff ending credits with an average score of 1,400,000+ and place in the top five high score rankings easily. Full auto-fire option + alphabeta transformation icon = surefire way to 1cc or even 2cc a serious Sidearms gaming session. Gotta love the subtle Nausicaa background sprite tributes sprinkled throughout the arcade Sidearms game.

Honestly, though, I'm really divided on this one. Great graphics, great style, lots of really clever ideas. But it's bearly playable at all. :?

Woot, changed the battery in that Gigawing board today, now good for another 4-5 years  As I suspected, the battery had not been changed at all since the board was manufactured in 1999 or so
