My comments on the game: Really nice music (I especially like stage 4, apparently the tune is called "Alice Maestra"), REALLY pretty and interesting bullet patterns (Do later games have even prettier bullet patterns? 'cos that's pretty crazy if so)
On the other hand, I found the length to be a little on the long side. It's too exhausting to play again after making it further than like stage 3 or something. Luckily it's an easy enough game that you don't really have to play it over and over to get any further, also hands out extends like candy I ended up with like 3 or 4 lives in stock.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy about accomplishing this, even if it's supposed to be an extremely easy game. It's my first normal difficulty clear of a non-Sturmwind game.

I beat Ikaruga on Easy with like 19.6M. Small steps. Now, I want to get S++ in Chapters 1 and 2 and S ranks in 3, 4, and 5 (supposedly S++ in 5 is impossible on Easy).

Not a 1cc, or probably much of an accomplishment in the scheme of things, but I managed to get through the entire section between the extend and the boss in stage 4 of Mars Matrix without a hit, for the first time. Unfortunately I was totally out of lives before that, so I didn't make it far afterward. I'm pretty happy about it

Mushihimesama [iOS/iPad] - Maniac - W-Shot, iOS Auto-Bomb ON 1CC!!! 89 mil/1 extra life/0 bomb. First attempt of the day! My heart is still racing.

Highlight of the run: I had no bombs for almost all of stage 5, and I made the most GODLIEST dodges OVER AND OVER AND OVER again to keep myself going until the end of stage 5 (I do not know how to do this without a bomb, so I had to take a death). It was like my body knew exactly what to do, it felt amazing.

Lowlight of the run: Final boss. I clipped a bullet on the second to last attack of phase 1 (like this timestamp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkjTDVYmbsY#t=21m48s ) and auto-bombed. I also had bad point-blanking and on the last attack of phase 1 I don't know how to dodge it so I took a sad extra death.

BTW, I found out you can run Mushihimesama in MAME, so I am curious about re-1CCing this on that.

Exactly one year ago today, I lost my 1cc virginity to Triggerheart Exelica. I celebrated the occasion tonight by finally getting the Dreamcast clear.

I feel like I've come really far over the course of one year of serious play, much farther than I expected really. Since that first clear I have amassed a 1cc list containing 61 different clears (different characters modes etc.) across 26 distinct games. And I've had a hell of a time doing it too. Thanks to everyone on this forum for making this an awesome place to share our achievements, learn about and improve at these awesome games. May we all have many more blissful deaths in our future

Got my first ever 1cc today. Ikaruga on normal. I don't know how to feel. Never really wanted the 1cc as badly as this one. Not even sure if it even is a 1cc, that last crystal TLB managed to kill me. Only way to get to practice him, is to clear it all over again.

Not even sure I want to play it anymore, the scoring drives me crazy. I keep restarting when I miss a chain. Such an obnoxious mechanic.

Mushihimesama [iOS/iPad] - Original - W-Shot, iOS Auto-Bomb ON - 1CC Lx2 Bx2 30mil

This was a really weird run. This morning on the train ride into work I decided 'hey, since I've 1CC'd Maniac once, I should pick up Original and see if I can clear it now'. With no practice or warm up and not even any idea what the stage 4/5 patterns looked like on Original beyond extrapolating from Maniac I 1CC'd the first try! I even no missed/no auto-bombed until the stage 4 boss. And then the best part - after that run I decided 'I can't believe that I already 1CC'd this, but that was so fun I feel like I should give it more runs' and did individual level practice on stage 4 and 5, and immediately I was sucking ass and not getting anywhere without constantly being hit. So was it a fluke, or was it just that my reaction times were sucked up by the completed run? I'm going to give this category more effort to find out~

Omg I finally did it. I actually did it. My first ever true 1cc. Ikaruga on normal. I messed up my chains a lot and got my self into very tight situations but I got through that crystal boss and achieved metempsychosis!
Being my first ever 1cc. I can say with confidence that no other genre has got my heart to race so fast. 5 previous runs earlier all resulted in me dying to that crystal thing. Run after run. Two of those runs had me die with only 1second left of the timer against Mr crystal.

I feel you man. This happened to me so many times when I was going for the (Easy mode, you did one better) clear myself. Just one of many reasons why I now strongly dislike the game.
