I'm also wondering how these guys manage to have such high multiplier ?? I mean at my best with Type I I had x25.000, where I struggle to get more than 23K with Z, but they go with over 29K ++, I also would like to see a run, find out where they get the missing multiplier I cannot get.. I see you have 28K, where did you get it ?

only a short phase (somewhere like 20 billions extra), as in Novice it is not like Arcade mode, when killing the side weapons, the boss is also touched, while in arcade, the boss barely got hit, so you can't milk it for very long as it will die soon anyway, especially with the power of type Z.

Both run had at least two death, so could easly improve that.

I also want to conclude that for some reasons, still unclear for me, Type I and II makes more break rate than Type Z, and therefor are better for scoring, but makes some boss fights a little bit more complicated, especially last boss and EX bosses.

I guess I can beat my own western Record made with Type Z with one of those ship. I just don't like playing them as they are so sloowwwww....

Yeah, I tried playing Type Z once or twice but I was never able to get a high break rate with it because it kills everything so quickly. I have absolutely no idea how the WR scores are so high.

I went full on execution on the boss 5 and ex boss 2 with bombing like a pig. No life left, and very tight fight at the end....

Well, I know why I'm not, let's say, up to 3 trillions. I know my mistakes and this run is not 100% optimized obviously.

The real question is, how the hell to they go over 4 trillions anyway ???

As Iconoclast and I mentioned, we know that Type I and II are somehow better for scoring due to better break rate generating, but still it's a mystery how to get so high with Type Z. And yet I have not found my answer anywhere, even during my numerous trips in Tokyo

stage 4 boss milking, kill optional parts on midbosses/bosses with a max multiplier, know enemy values(st3 big ships' body gives way less points than the bits on the left and right)

wr tier scoring is still a mystery though

I saw FROG milking stage 4 boss in Unlimited, he got slightly more than 1 trillion point just with that. I don't know if it was a good day for him or not, but that's not in Original mode. Today in that run, I completly fucked up my milking, I got really unlucky with the infinite weapons choice, I usually wait for the little round tower to start the milking (no canon or laser), but not even one was released out of the boss

I'm pretty lame at milking the boss anyway, I think my best was like 200 billions just on boss 4. Would be good to know Iconoclast's average as a western reference so to see what's possible and what's not. But still, even with that milk, I don't think this is enough to double (almost triple) my modest score.

What was his starting break? One death makes the difference between 9k and 13k break rate and that's a big difference in score(and way more than 1tril should be possible on the boss alone)

There really isn't one big scoring trick, it comes from different places and strategies little by little

it's fixed and tells you how fast the break rate goes up in every stage
there's no rank outside of boost

the values are 4-4-2-3-1

basically it manually limits the score gain for longer/more profitable stages, preventing saidaioujou syndrome where stage 5 would give way more points than the rest of the game just because it's longer(the original didn't have that and stage 5 was alone easily worth half of your score just because it was long)

at first I didn't like it but now it's a pretty good idea after all, it actually makes scoring for the whole game relevant including stage 1
stage 5 really isn't that much harder than the rest of the game imo(even on unlimited), so it makes sense that it shouldn't give disproportionate amount of score

3 is straightforward as hell, 4 is the annoying one and not even worth as much as st3 not counting the boss milk(which is only worth a ton if you manage to no miss the whole stage)

basically all the(easy) parts where you use 1 double break after another are early on(and therefore not worth much), the laser trap and midboss are hard to x12.8 and the parts past the midboss are worth 1 double break at most
