Congrats, great score!

Question: Are you able to trigger a hidden 80K bonus at the first boss in 2 minute mode? There seems to be one when you don't fire at all until the boss.

Edit: yet another score - running into diminishing returns here, unfortunately.

I get rewarded for not killing the boss...? Probably from milking the popcorn he shoots while his core is exposed to increase my boss maxhit chain? 5min mode makes a lot more sense with this game's scoring system. Which means I have room for improvement on my 5min run, as I dropped my enemy chain a few times, and it is possible to fullchain at least the first section with the blue ship at full speed. Although I'm sure that's time and effort better spent somewhere else.

The lists are finally completely up-to-date. But a word of warning: post your scores in the proper format as specified in the first post (=as they show on the high-score lists) or they won't get added in. The lists are enough of a hassle to edit as it is.

I'm not at all happy with that score as I missed some of the X0000 bonuses (the easy part!), but it's an improvement.

I'm starting to get a new pattern to show up in the 2min mode (at the end); don't think I can make that consistent though - especially not with this shit controller, haha

EDIT: I got this Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth score two days ago, can't beat it either lol:

In any case, I don't much like the game - chaining seems like the reverse of Soldier Blade's "kill them fast" gameplay, and the perspective throws me off too (too many deaths from those reverse bomber things). Doubtless there are some hidden scoring opportunities we're all missing, o well

Okay, maybe one more score. Quite hilarious; on the first run I beat my score by 300 points! I think I could squeeze out maybe 10-20K more. 550K does not look so impossible anymore.

The second Carnival theme sounds like a tune from Megaman, I think MM6. Was it Mr. X's castle theme? I forget at the moment...

Green ship for 2min, blue ship for 5min... IMHO red ship is mediocre for both (but feel free to prove me wrong!)

Also, because of the chaining, you have to kill stuff fast in order to get extra waves (which is why Sik has a larger chain than me, watch our videos). 28M seems reachable, since bonuses have a negligible effect on score in 2min mode. 5min mode... the Zeg bonuses and end bonus definitely have an effect.

Thanks for the info! I had a feeling the rather wide and diffuse forward spread of the red ship was breaking something. The angled side shots also aren't positioned right to take out popcorn - this game doesn't seem to throw lots around like Soldier Blade does, either. Most I've seen somes head on or from the sides, making red very useless indeed.

What activity from one announcement! About that first boss, your best bet is to always keep moving. Those claws can and will get you anytime. Also, never hang around lower than half the screen. Actually, you should hang around the ceiling.

Unfortunately, 2 Minute is the only one I have bothered with.

Right, I just wasted time on 'im. Never got hit in my latest run, but I was too far from the boss most of the time. It's actually pretty easy to tell when it's about to launch its claws upwards since it's dead stopped and not shooting bubbles (those are harmless anyway).
