gameoverDude wrote:Persona 4 Arena is region locked. Beside the Japanese version not playing on NTSC-U systems, the same goes for the USA version on NTSC-J systems. Atlus' Japanese parent company justifies it by saying they don't want Japanese system owners importing the USA version for a lower price (damn you, weak dollar).
Picked up a used copy of USA region Persona 4 Arena complete with instruction manual & original case for a mere $15.00 from the local Blockbuster going out of business. Tis a shame with it's regional lockout of not been able play it on a JPN region 360 console properly though. Awesome fighting game indeed.

Hello everyone....
i m also NTSC-J Xbox 360 owner
i m new to this forum.....
I wanna know has anyone of u tried Battlefield 4 ( PAL ) on their NTSC-J Xbox 360?..... if yes then did it work? is it region free or region locked.... cx i have heard from alot of people that its region free..... ( the DVD that comes with china rising DLC )..... also 50% of EA Customer Support staff told me its region free and 50% said its not :S
I need helppppp
As i cant find Battlefield 4 NTSC-J where i live.... and my last bet is buying PAL
So strange that a few posts above this, Edge reports an American Diablo 3 working on a Japanese machine, but the PAL one doesn't. Bloody bizarre how they decide this shit.

The NTSC-U retail release of Minecraft works on a NTSC-J system.
The NTSC-U version of Dishonored does not work on a NTSC-J system.
Icarus wrote:Anyone tried the PAL (or NTSC-U) version of Destiny on a J-360 yet?
I don't expect it to work, but will be pleasantly surprised if it does.
I would actually be surprised if it DIDN'T work. All the games Bungie released on the 360 previously have been region free, and most (if not all) Activision games on 360 have been region free as well. This is from what I know of NTSC-U releases at least.
Will check to see if both 360 NTSC U/C ports of Grid 2 & Grid Autosport work on a JPN region 360.
Am curious to see if the upcoming NTSC U/C port of Persona 4 Arena fighting game sequel will work on a JPN region 360 as well. Shall find out when Sept. 30th, 2014 rolls around.
Am pleased to see that both 360 NTSC U/C copies of Grid 2 and Limited Black Edition Grid Autosport work on a JPN region 360. They're even installable to the HDD/USB thumb drive as well.
So all three 360 NTSC U/C ports of the three Grid racing games released currently, work just fine on a JPN region 360. Interesting to learn that the Codemasters Racing dev team would have them enabled to play on either a USA or JPN region 360 console.
Another NTSC U/C 360 racing game by the name of Forza Horizon 2 (from Sumo Digital dev team) is slated to be out soon...makes me wonder if it, too, will be JPN 360 console compatible from the get-go?
