Sounds like the Cave ports and other shmups are covered on the 360!

If anyone has a Duo, excellent, bring it. I have all of the Hucard shmups on Magic Engine, plus Soldier Blade on the Wii.

I still have Joe Ts JP Dreamcast, and all of the shmups for it, except for DUX.

Will an import-ready Saturn be there? If so, I might bring a couple of games. If not, it's no big deal. No one should bring one unless they were already planning on it.

Got you covered, Andi! I have a US Saturn with the 4 in 1 Cart. Bring anything you want. I only have DDP, Kingdom Grandprix, Guardian Force, Strikers...Not much there.

If someone has the Cottons, that would be cool.

Thanks!

Ok, I need to know if we have a Japanese Soldier Blade available. Also, as I can not divulge exactly why, but bring any Japanese hucards you have and you will be extremely pleased. 8) I have access to a US Soldier Blade as well, but would need to know by Wednesday to go pick it up.

I've got a Cotton 2 for Saturn that I could bring. Actually, if you wanted to buy it that's alright, as I've hardly played it.

Yes, bring any and all PC Engine Hucards. I can go pick some up from a friend later this week. Wiring be damned, this is going to be pulled off! Just wait....

I'll definitely bring all mine - I have a few.

Just to update - Dave, Andi and I will not be able to bring a cab down - I've done some simple measurements and there is no way its fitting in the Element with Dave, Andi and I. I am bringing down my NEC XM29 and games/pcb's galore. Debating on bringing the mame box...

Super stoked for the meet!

Just drive with it strapped to the top of the Element in the upright position!

There'll still be 3 cabs though. Some rotation will be necessary on the Aero Table though. Is anyone bringing a Duo? If not, I can dust mine off (literally) and bring it. I also happen to have somewhat of a rarity on Duo, but I'll tease you all with this. So rare you can't buy it, well ok I paid for it, but it was never officially for sale.

Revision:

I'm not bringing Progear. I assume dr.boom was gonna bring it. and Fixeight will stay home as well. I figure most people like Outzone better anyway. Also, I'm leaving Dimahoo at home as well.

So this is what I'm bringing:

My PCBs:

Guwange
Mahou Daisukasen aka Sorcerer Striker
Mystery Horizontal shooter
Mystery Horizontal game
Mars Matrix
Dragon Breed
Alcon
Game Paradise
Omega Fighter Special

Loaned PCB's:

?
Air Buster
Air Raid
Space Bomber
Ninja Emaki

Duo:

Duo system
Duo controller with somewhat of an extension cable

Cotton (US)
"item unavailable for sale"
Blazing Lasers
L-Dis - PCE CD
Air Zonk
Psychic Storm - PCE CD
Forgotten Worlds
Gate of Thunder
R-Type
Raiden
possibly about 10 more shooters?

Now with all that bullshit out of the way, do we need a Soldier Blade? So it looks like I have 4 most known unknowns showing up here. Just watch for the Juiceman PCB!

@drboom - we should still be able to make do with 3 candies, my mystery upright, and Aleanil's supergunnery (wonder if its the holy grail of superguns - the tuppergun! ) Or you could strap Dave's bike with Dave riding it on top of the Element and he can say he biked all the way here.

@caldwert - The list looks good to me! Soldier Blade is pretty good on the Wii, so that may be the score challenge platform. I also have Magic Engine, but that runs all the roms pretty fast and is not true to form.

I have confirmed rsvps from the drunkeneneninja and a couple of fellers from Des Moines, IA...

This is going to be insane!

See you in a few days!

Send me your address again. I think I know how to get there mentally, but probably should print out directions so I don't end up in some corn field.

I've been practicing all week and mainlining Jolt cola and Red Bull, so by the time I hit the metropolis of Moberly, this is what I'll look like while playing shooters:

Ahh, well...you'll fit right in. Plus, you would have to have a body like that in order to lift that Aero Table out of the basement!

Cleaning out the basement clutter. Cabinet wall is looking shweet! Give me some ideas for shmup food. I don't want to go overboard on price, but lend me some ideas on munchies and I will see what I can do.

Be practicing with all ship types and power up options on DDP and if you don't own Soldier Blade and a Turbo Duo, practice some Compile games on Nintendo Emus for the Soldier Blade Caravan Challenge. (Read OP)

Come Saturday, its on like Donkey Kong!

Yes, I'm looking very much forward to when I have to move that Aero Table tomorrow night. It might just be the highlight of my weekend.

edit: Food, well personally that pulled pork you had last time was killer, but other than that I'm open to whatever.

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of "munchies". I still plan on taking a break around 1 or 2pm and going to a Mexican restaurant (we have 3 in town) and everybody paying for their own meal. But I would still like to provide some snack food for the day.

Sucks that you can't make it - but I'll por a bit out for you. We'll also take very good care of the DFK for you.

This just means you have to make it up to Chicago for the next meet!

Or, better yet, host a fall shooting carnival in the LOU!

Hey Todd, what firmware version is your Wii? (Says in the top right when you go into the setup menus.)
Need to know what version of the files to bring.
