Best place to get a ton of bombs is Plant... destroy all the treads of the big green tanks THEN destroy the actual tank for a big bomb per tank. Then you get to invariably fuck up your medal chaining bombing the girders at the end ;)

I played Battle Garegga for a week and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.

...I mean, crappy score after being pwned by Blackheart (I guess all the practice in Xeno Fighters EX-R didn't pay off after all)

Small gain, but I'm happy for now and calling it a week. Gonna try for 7 mil by end of next week.

edit: Doh! It's Cloud I reached, not Plant.

And while you're at it, do yourself another favour and don't play with super low scoring ships like Flying Baron. This ship is especially difficult to use.

I tried an experiment today by playing the MAME version (been playing the Saturn version) and straight away I felt a difference. It's difficult to pinpoint but I think the game ran slightly slower (the ships appeared to be same speed but the bullets seemed slower and easier to navigate and the medals appeared easier to pick up). I've got a decent spec PC too so that shouldn't be the reason. Anyone else notice this?

Edit: This didn't improve my score any however!

the trick with bombing the outside turrets? wait until the inner ones activate, suicide, get right in the middle and have faith. also it won't work if he's too high up... i usually end up getting an extend from it just as my ship goes which is always exciting

I think I'll to stick with this setup. I'm never going to beat stage 4 anyways, but with any (read: a lot of) luck I can squeeze 4mil out of it.

@charlie: Doing the mad ball trick with the wild snail is way too complicated. It's far easier with Gain.
