Work your way up to all level 3s and you'll see score improvements just from that. Suicide bullets are a pain in the ass, but they're manageable with Sakura.

Aside from that, work on not getting hit, at least in the first six stages. It takes a huge chunk out of your counter, and could take a few stages just to recover what you've lost depending on where you were at when you get hit. Bombing isn't a big deal in MBL so if there are specific spots that give you trouble just bomb them (for me, it's the swamp boss's last attack)

Updated! Nice jump there nZero. A billion is always a nice score to get, even when it comes pretty quickly like in DFK.

TonK - bare in mind that setting the rank to 3 in every level isn't the only solution to scoring high. I watch CHI play down our local arcade occasionally, and he hits 2 billion+, and I'm sure he only sets four levels at rank three. CHI score's high by milking certain spots with Sakura's directional shots. How much are you using the technique where you stream skulls and crowns a little by only shooting the large enemies with the shot from your option (I admit I'm not sure if this is as profitable in MBL as it is in vanilla Deathsmiles; I tend to play the latter).

I'm not confident enough with the canyon; every time I have a good run I just skip it because I'm sure it will fuck me up and I don't really score well on it anyway. Route was

Lakeside (3) > Graveyard (999) > Forest (3) > Volcano (3) > Halloween Town (3) > Swamp (3) > Ice Palace > Castle

Either way, this was my first MBL clear so I'm pretty happy regardless. Both EX is possible but I'll need to grow a pair and stop running away from the canyon before can happen. If I can make it to Jitterbug with a full powerup and maybe a spare life I should be able to pull it off.

4.9 bil going out of the first six stages, could pull off five with a little luck. Had an absolutely ridiculous death in the Canyon. I'm at the point where I'm usually able to no-miss up to the boss; if I'd held it together in this run I would have broken 8 bil. :/

Jitterbug was a disaster but I've already got the clear and there's not a whole lot of points to be had from the final boss, so I'm not to disappointed about that.

My goal is 8 bil before Futari hits, but I'll be pretty busy in school this week so who knows.
