Ketsui PCB can`t be overrated as to be overrated it first has to be rated by a high rating of raters all rating it highly.
Not many native English speakers have actually had the pleasure of Ketsui PCB (some people lie on the internet, shock horror! - "Yeah I`ve played it, it`s poo mate.") compared to something that IS overrated (in my opinion) and more mainstream like Ikaruga which has seen releases for various sectors (home and arcade), for a multiple of regions, hardware platforms and digital formats.
What one has with Ketsui PCB is the best it`s maker has ever done and the best example of the genre all-in by a million miles ever (in my vastly experienced opinion with the genre).
Ketsui PCB is underrated (in my opinion) if anything and the thread starter has misjudged the game like so many people did early on in the game`s life through ignorance, me included. I only started taking notice of it back in `04 when in that year it was my number 1 requested PCB from customers, back when I was buying them for Y36k a pop.
To be honest I couldn`t give a toss if someone doesn`t like x game that I do or not.
Ketsui PCB is proper mint.

Well, I hadn't heard of Ketsui until I played Ketsui: Death Label for the DS. It's cool. While playing that did make me take interest in the arcade version and the Xbox 360 port, it's not something I would use to make any judgements on the original game.
That's all the conversation I'd like to add to this thread. Now here's a nice pic of DOOM.
Maybe there should just be a separate board on the forums for PCB discussion, aka the rich peoples' board. Then they can circlejerk all they want, so as not to crowd the commoners' boards with their highbrow talk.

I'm pretty sure the PCB owners on this site are not all millionaires and I certainly don't get the impression that they are gloating over how much money they have.
Looking through the PCB threads, a lot of PCB owners on the board simply made sacrifices to be able to afford them, either going into debt or just plain saving up for them.

Wow, i own a cheap cab and a DDP DOJ PCB and played Ketsui a lot on a friend's supergun. I'm such an elitist snob.
I barely can cough up the rent every month, even if i don't buy anything.
But i own a PCB, so i must be a rich snob.
That looks to me like something you'd have to invest a ton of money into. How are you going to get on PCB owners?
And for the record I play in the arcade.
wow...thats a lot of games
i own like maybe a dozen PCB's....all of which i regularly play.....i dont mess with consoles much but i do have a PS3 that i hardly use(b-day from the g/f)

Yeah, all together I'd estimate my collection cost me maybe $500 (if even that), over the course of 5 years or so. Most of the NES/SNES/Genesis games were under $5. (some were $1)

It's all ludicrious anyway. I'm most certainly poorer than nearly any of you. I was actually at the poverty level a few years back. I still have a console game collection that ranges in the thousands of dollars. That could have been some well selected PCBs and a cab if I really wanted to.
But I didnt.
I think the bigger question is would most people go without spending for possibly a year or two just to get a PCB and a cab? Most people probably don't have that sort of patience. I know I don't.
