GD: XBox 360 Shmup Achievements

So, what's the easiest way to get the grind achievements in DOJ? They bars barely seem to move and it's all I have left. Just keep running x-mode and try to stay concious?

Stages 4 and 5 in Practice Mode are good for enemy shoot-down, and Stage 2 in Practice Mode is good for gathering stars (bombbombbomb). X-Mode is the only way to go for combo hits.

It would be great if someone (nZero?) could write a proper translation of the ESP2 achievements

OK, I'll give it a shot, even though honorless did most of the work already in the Espgaluda II BL thread in shmups chat. Disclaimer: I haven't played this yet, so I might make some bad assumptions about the different systems for each mode. I'm trying to use accepted terminology (Kakusei/Zesshikai/Over/Zesshikai Over) but if I miss a few then please point it out, thanks! Also I have no idea which modes the secret achievements can and can't be unlocked in.

To Sideshow: Yes, if its anything like Mushihime-sama Futari if you restart it NULLS any clear based achievements, regardless of when you do it, stage one or otherwise.

Black Label is far to confusing ><, though I'm finally getting the hang of the normal scoring.

Just to clear things up, for this achievement all you have to do is watching an All Clear replay and than press A when it asks you if you want to update your profile.

This achievement doesn't unlock in Novice mode (obviously) but I wonder if it would unlock in Arrange or BL?
If it is possible in Arrange it should be easy, if it's only for Arcade/360 mode it's nearly impossible.

Since the achievement description calls her 憎悪に満ちたセセリ instead of 真セセリ my guess is that it's for Black Label.

No, you have to get 10,000 gold ingots that have a x1000 multiplier in one play (so the x1000 multiplier has to flash on the screen 10,000 times). It's very difficult, you have to score well over 1billion to get this.

He times out by himself but it takes ages. Around 10 minutes I'd say (at least, that's what it felt to me).

question about ranking up in arrange mode in Espgaluda 2

after you download the replay, do you go to intialize ranking in the options menu to activate it or is it already on when i play arrange mode? I put the rankingup to 4 and i did not get the achievement for playing ranked up in arrange mode..

If you initialize the rank you set it back to 0/0 and all your progress is gone. You have to set your rank in the arrange options menu, you have two ranks for each character (normal and kakusei).

Yes, that's how you do it. If you are aiming for the achievement to destroy Shin Seseri set both to 5 at least.

i put it to the max on both one and did not unlock either achievements(beatng shin seseri at level 5"5 and playing with rank increase)..its Ok..i had enough of this game...time to move on!

Try playing in 360 Novice Mode. He has several pieces that can be destroyed in every phase.

You can do it on novice, but I think you arent allowed to die to get this acheivement. Should be easy to dodge the last form for 10 min... well if you can keep your attention span going.

The achievements are not unlocking! WHY?!

Do I need to play with the default settings?

I beat all the bosses on black label - nothing - 0/1000
I beat the game in arcade/x360 - nothing - 0/1000
I beat some boses without using RT - nothing - 0/1000

For example...

I did that 2346235478236 times - and nothing unlocks......what the hell?!

Plus 10 or so secret achievements, one of which is already tenatively confirmed to be Nice Bomb just like the other 90% of 360 shmups that have a similar achievement.

Looks like there's a lot of grinding to be done on a few achievements. Secret Achievements will be added as they're discovered. Strategies will be added later, in the meantime use the Ketsui ST to see 1-up locations, how to perform techniques, etc.
