If most everyone was staying at the Barryhouse I would have booked there again as well. If this isn´t the case I might just as well book at the hostel I´ve booked for end of January.

Just for sleeping anyway so it´s not that important.

Small Update:- London Meet 5.5 will be occurring on Jan 22-23, this is the ATEI 2008 Exhibition mini-meet. I will be taking a day off work to join Super Laydock at the ATEI in the morning and go to play some Pink Sweets in the evening at Casino. I will confirm whether it'll be the 22nd or 23rd (for me) soon. Super Laydock will be in town all week, so please use this thread to arrange meet-ups if you're also around at that time.

The Main London Meet VI will still go ahead March 1st & 2nd as planned

I've been to Casino a couple times but never for a meeting so I'll try to make this one and embaress myself with my lack of skills. Got a couple mates who live in London too so it'll be a good excuse to go see them.

ill6 now has Black Label boards and MMP available for 2 day mini-loans for meets, which is very generous and appreciated, but I have to turn his offer down due to lack of good vert screens in Casino. Pink Sweets will continue to take centre stage in the arcade, there are no other good vert cabs to house Muchi Muchi Pork or the Black Labels, unfortunately.
Maybe its down to the huge lean towards Fighter titles in the arcade, for instance the decent vert cab that previously housed Mushihimesama has been taken out of the arcade by the Boss. I will talk to the Boss about bringing another vert cab back to the arcade from his warehouse in Hanger Lane.
Mush is still operational in the arcade and I must also get John to replace the Player 1 stick.

EDIT:- Super Laydock ->Our ATEI tickets have just arrived! I'll carry yours with me for when we meet

zomg that's rly too bad for black label (futari & DOJ ?) but I didn't understand the last part : Mush = mushihimesama is still in the arcade but it's decent vert cab was removed, meaning it's now on a worse cab but will get a better joystick ?

If anyone would rather that not happen just say, as I'd hate to do that if nobody wanted me too. I'm just as happy to turn up as a plain old shmuper, which I definately am, and not cover it at all - I just thought it might be cool to get some coverage for here, The Goodge, and shmups in general. You never know, if I do secure some work from the event, I could put the money into a board to bring to the event. (always looking to justify buying more shmups!)

Dont think anyone will be bothered by that.

Icarus - Please bring Pork! We can try a one or two day install in the arcade. I talked to the Boss John Sturges on friday about getting in another decent vert cab, but he was non-committal about it. I will be bugging him at his stand at the ATEI next Tuesday->If he has a vert cab at the ATEI I will drag him over and suggest that he have it dropped in the arcade instead of back into his Hanger Lane warehouse.

Would it not make sense for this guy to listen to you now and again? He always comes across as a bit uncooperative. Obviously, most of the revenue for Casino comes from the fruities upstairs, but if he'd only upgrade some of the cabs below I'm certain it would be worthwhile for him, or whoever pays his wages in the long run. You can bet there would be more regular mini-meets, plus individual trips to the venue if only more cabs were fitted with decent arcade parts. The costs could easily be raised through these boards too.
