Crueltear. This being two of three of my Triggerheart Exelica art. I used some artistic license on this one in changing her eye color. I think normally her eyes are roughly the same color as her hair but I wasn't sure I would like the way that looked so I changed it to green.

Same size as Exelica, 27" by 18".

They both need some touch-up work but are essentially done.

Working on Faintear now. Will post when done!

Some of the bead art I have done. Most of it's all been really simple stuff. Been working on a Richter from Dracula-X and a Mai from KOF/Fatal Fury as well for a bit more "ambitious projects". Need to get back into making stuff. Really soothing and kinda fun to do.

FUCK YEAH, Ninja Gaiden.

I've been messing around with recording NES music. I'm recording the guitar and bass parts. I'm working on setting up rock band drums as a drum machine. I had some tracks done, but that computer is down. I'll post up a recording soon. I'm working on the Mega Man III intro now. Will also be recording stage 4-2 from Ninja Gaiden, and the intro to NG.

here's my youtube page.

Theres not much. A few clips of skateboarding, a version of Snakeman's stage from Mega Man III that I recorded, and a song from a band I was in a few years ago (I played guitar).

Not to digress from the music stuff too much (it's one of those things I'd like to figure out at some point, but on previous attempts haven't been able to deal with the learning curve) but I thought I'd show off the Christmas ornaments I made for an ornament exchange our family does every year at Thanksgiving. I designed these in Inkscape, and used a laser cutter with 1/8" sheet acrylic to produce them. I put together a detailed Blog post describing the process of designing and creating these here if anyone's interested:

Everything's Cooler When You Add Lasers: Making Custom Laser-Cut Christmas Ornaments

Image

Here's a close-up shot that shows off some of the engraving a little bit better. To give you some idea of the precision you can get from a laser cutter, the insides of the window are roughly half a millimeter thick.

In the interest of keeping a tidy house I took out the recent music-related posts and put them into the Music Production Thread.

I don't know what triggered it, but I became briefly obsessed with inventing new designs for the sonic screwdriver from Doctor Who:
