Re: Homura (new thread)
abschüssig - 1,624,550,000 - Stage 4 - EHH - 88
After playing this fantastic game for a few weeks finally a decent score.
Except for stage 4 boss where I screwed it up so I couldn't take advantage of my nice 88 Multiplier.
Would have been at least 1.7 bil otherwise.
Made it no miss into the second half of stage 4 for the first time, guess that won't happen again too soon...

You asked me about the x90 multiplier and can do x88. You are in right path thenabschüssig wrote:abschüssig - 1,624,550,000 - Stage 4 - EHH - 88

You get the highest multiplier only in final of stage 4, then you need control yourself during boss 4 and 5 in order of enjoy the multiplier. Bombs and suicides is necessary for this boss battles.
Keep on.
Cool!

Re: Homura (new thread)
Abschüssig convinced me at do one replay for this, then I stated at play this game again.
Now I have all my multipliers back, then I am working in boss milking (I remember nothing for boss 4 and 5). I will need do new calculus for this bosses too since I loose all.
The problem is: I have not one decent capture device for record the replay and I can't wast money in one thing I will use only one time.
I am looking for peoples interested in one score replay for this game and which can assist me for buy one capture device.
I am planing anything like 2,300,000,000 for replay.
Then?

Re: Homura (new thread)
How much would it cost? I'm quite low on money these days, but 2,3bill sounds fantastic. I'd definitely donate $25-$30.
And why do you only want to use it once? You could basically make tons of replays of your awesome shmup achievements. But tbh, Homura is what interests me most, by far.

Re: Homura (new thread)
I might donate a little bit to the cause, even though third_strike hardly plays any games I like :P

How much will it cost?
I really don't know now. I will check the price in next 3 days when I have time free.It should be around $20 for each one of us (well more people lowest price
).
And I am really impressed with my progress in this game this time. I know stage 4 and stage 5 will have me lots of problems, but Just now I am too proud and too full of myself which even the most elitist prick player in forum can't get close me in confidence.

Count me in on this one, buddy.

Re: Homura (new thread)
Maybe someone could borrow a capture device to third strike? I would if I had one...

I'm definitely down for throwing some money in on that.

Re: Homura (new thread)
So am I, of course.
Oh, and I improved my score (and multiplier) slightly:
abschüssig - 1,681,123,000 - Stage 4 - EHH - 89 Hits
Stage 4 boss still takes me apart much too fast.

Re: Homura (new thread)
Stage 4 boss i really annoying.
I guess my stages 1, 2, 3 and 5 was OK now (at least I know what I need do). But second half of stage 4 and stage 4 boss it's the dog sucking lemon!!!!!!!!
I will start at do real runs in next weekend (hopping 2,000,000,000 in any run).
Cool!

Re: Homura (new thread)
Oh yeah, and now the second form of stage 4 boss annoys me even more than the first.
Still, another slight improvement:
abschüssig - 1,718,099,000 - Stage 4 - EHH - 89 Hits

Re: Homura (new thread)
Any not too good news:
The only capture device I found I will cut %5 of the screen in right side, just like this:
http://img39.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=20100410162227.jpg
And it will cause screen blinks during the replay.
Today I got my first all after return for this game, anything like: Third_strike - 2,176,272,000 - ALL - EHH - 81 . I did one fuck accidental slash in stage 4 what lowered my multiplier. The run was recorded but...

Dude just record this thing already. Even I am getting impatient

Re: Homura (new thread)
I think his score is a little more than just "quite good " tbh .Limbrooke wrote:Good things come to those who wait.Ruldra wrote:Dude just record this thing already. Even I am getting impatient
His score is quite good but who knows how much further he can push it. Soon enough third_strike, soon enough.
Re: Homura (new thread)
Yeah, he's only a stones throw from the world record, though I wonder if there's an updated WR, as that score is pretty old.clp wrote: I think his score is a little more than just "quite good " tbh .

captpain wrote:Basically, the reason people don't like Bakraid is because they are fat and dumb
It's all relative and I'm aware of his proximity to the WR. If you really want to nitpick why wouldn't you go the distance rather than be snide with a little more than "quite good" eh? I know (not think) the score is good but if my view on that isn't good enough for your tastes, then simply keep your comments to yourself. Good grief.clp wrote:I think his score is a little more than just "quite good " tbh .

Re: Homura (new thread)
When this replay lands, I'm finally gonna get into this game.
Re: Homura (new thread)
agreed! im already into it but genuinely cant figure out the scoring hotspots for the life of me , this video should be adequate motivation.Voxbox wrote:When this replay lands, I'm finally gonna get into this game.
Re: Homura (new thread)
I was able to 1CC the game a couple of days ago, but I think I'm gonna wait for this superplay to see if I can inflate my score a little before I post it
