Some fuckwad on You Tube got his panties in a bunch when I informed him that it wasn't Gunvalkyrie's fault that he sucks at the game, because he labeled it "a counter intuitive piece of shit with ghastly controls" to feel better about his own shortcomings.

But get this: He then proceeded to call me a "stupid masochist" for merely stating that I was better at the game than he is (S ranks on all but one stage), and further insulted my intelligence by saying "Don't equate getting raped by a game repeatedly until you learn to dance to its tune as 'skill' or 'mastery'...just don't."

See what I'm dealing with, here? He is so insufferably dumb that just because of his short sightedness (his inability to play the game properly), the game is "horrible" in his eyes. There are players that could wipe the floor with him score-wise AND technique-wise (and I told him this, too!), and if he had any idea how pretentious he sounded, his face would be red with embarrassment.

It should go without saying by now that he didn't understand any of this, nor did he believe my claim that success was possible and it was immensely satisfying, which is pretty self evident if one looks around for pro player videos of the game. Merely watching these videos is inspiring. I mean, it should be, assuming you're not mentally gimped or just not interested in video games.

His response to me calling him pretentious? He says, "Pretentious?...whatever. This is coming from a guy who swears by a game that was universally panned by critics."

...I genuinely think he deserves to die. He physically embodies casual gaming and the mental decline of humanity. Pardon the extreme post, but that just drove me nuts and I had to vent.

Says a lot that he equates learning a game with being sexually assaulted and put into submission. A winner's mindset for sure.

I know, right? It was the smug, feigned air of self righteousness he held that I have a problem with more than anything else. He actually thought himself superior to me for not even bothering with the "fault-ridden" game to see that it was nothing of the sort!

Click "Sort reviews by helpfulness"

Then click through 5-10 pages of "1 out of 1 people found this review helpful" to find the "99 out of 100" people found this review helpful" kind of stuff you were actually looking for.

Annoying: Looking for a nice padlock.

Of course, Master Lock doesn't publish the exact dimensions of the #5 padlock's shackle, so you have to guess when picking another lock. Additionally, finding shackle dimensions for even their Pro Series is iffy:
1-1/8" (29mm) tall, 5/16" (8mm) diameter hardened boron alloy shackle for superior cut resistance
Also annoying is that the lock manufacturers are very selective about mentioning molybdenum or boron alloy use (even the commonplace #5 Master Lock uses a boron alloy shackle).

How about this mess:
Shackle Dimensions: 3/8" x 1-3/8" x 7/8", Shackle Size 1-3/8"
Also the Bump Stop technology doesn't fully work, but at least it seems to represent a mild improvement in security and a possible speedbump against bump key users.

Probably thinks anything he can't pick up in one or two plays isn't worth his time. Gone are the days of learning how to play the way the designer(s) intended. "If I can't play my way and win, this game is rubbish!" :?

I ran into a lock dimension problem somewhat recently, as well! I was looking for a cable lock for securing something with a small diameter hole in it. I don't think any manufacturer specifies the diameter or the ferrule on the ends of their cables, which is a problem because most of them have ferrules significantly larger than the diameter of the cable itself. The diameter of the cable is specified, but not the ferrule.

I remember having to sell this game as it was inducing excruciating pain in my left wrist from depressing the left analog stick all the time to boost while also using it to move. Granted, this was the huge original xbox pads, I don't know if the smaller later ones helped in this regard. It was also pretty short sighted that they didn't allow you to customize/remap the controls.

The most annoying thing I deal with regularly is dropping something and not being able to find it. Things seem to always end up 3 feet away from where you dropped them and manage to find their way in some sort of inconspicuous crack where you can't see them.

Oh god, yes. Especially when working on an electronics project or anything with small screws/parts.

Ads like this one:
52yr old man discovers "weird" trick to slash electricity bill by 75%. See video before its banned
Yeah, I'd like to ban your advertising agency from using computers or even picking up pencils. Just atrocious. Kind of funny that they expect to hook somebody with it though - I guess it's targeting all us hillbillies with a promise of power that doesn't involve a tap wire or meter tampering

Yeah, pretty much any ad that claims a "weird trick" or "weird tip" or "loophole" or whatever can fuck right off, whether it's for electricity, auto insurance, or weight loss.

Also, the "Language professors hate him!" ad. I guess that puts me in good company.

Dealing with bidders on ebay with their stupid messages only to find out at the end of the auction that they didn't win.

Non payers of my auctions.

The 3 ring telephone ring that dies out just before you get to the phone.

People who stand in a gangway and don't notice the hold up they are causing by standing right in the fucking way.

Announcements to change platforms right before the train comes (especially if you have luggage and there are no stairs).

People who keep pressing the brake pedal in a car causing their brake lights to keep blinking in traffic jams (drives me nuts).

Repetitious radio adverts when your driving.

People who have stinky feet that smell so bad after a good nights sleep it smells like roast potatoes in their room.

People who use my shit and put it somewhere else when they are finished with it.

The imaginary person that always seems to kick the mat so its not straight. I say imaginary because i've never seen anyone move the mat and I know it doesn't move by itself.

People who know your anal retentive about stacking things neatly, only to throw a pile together that looks like shit.

People who think my soft drink, chips/crisps and goodies cupboard is there for their benefit and don't replenish anything.

My next door neighbor for throwing get togethers not realizing their cars have totally blocked mine in (I live at the end of a cul de sac).

The red card slip you get from the postman saying "collect your shit from the sorting office because nobody answered the fuckin door"
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

What's that doing in a "things that annoy the hell out of you" thread, though?

My only complaint would be if Ron actually endorsed something. I think the correct answer would be "sorry kids, this is a gift from God that's by invitation only!" 8)

This: http://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2 ... -cherokee/

Cars over here are absurdly expensive but that doesn't stop people from buying them, mainly because they have no idea cars all over the world are much cheaper. Many people will pay over the course of five years via financing and, because of interest, they will eventually pay 3-4 times the original price. Many car companies are staying afloat because of our dumb costumers.

Fun fact: the Crevrolet Camaro recently arrived in my city and it's being sold for the equivalent of $100.000. They're selling like hot cakes.

I hate this shit so much. I'm pretty sure my postman is a lazy bastard who doesn't even bring the package, just leaves the slip. I'm waiting near the door for a knock, and it never comes.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Not being able to get an eye exam for a week when you lost your glasses on the side of a god damn mountain and you require them to drive. This is going to be an unpleasant week.

Mount Martin in Quebec. It's not overly tall, but i lost my glasses in one of the steep sections on the climb down.

Also, here's to $900 in eye-exams and glasses.
