This. Both safespots look rather pointless. The st2 pattern isn't even that hard to begin with, while the st3 one will likely get you killed. There's also this one for st4 boss, but have fun using it.
DOJ had safespots on all bosses except the third, all of those exploited shamelessly in Death Label—where were you guys to complain about it?

At 20:20, after the guy kills that big enemy, he rushes to top left corner on the H-mark, and all the stars convert to hyper-recharging stars.
Or is is there some other explanation?
EDIT: Sorry for doublepost... And I guess he gets them because he switched to shot. But still, that's strange rushing to that H-mark, like it's a secret bee or something
Pretty sure those H's are just Helipads....

my only question about this game system I still have:
- what does "Boost" mean? it only happens during the hypers but not allways and not during the whole hyper. How is it triggered?
About the stars:
there are 4 sizes and from smaller to bigger they earn you this points if you are not hypering
air-small: +100 points
ground-small: + 500 points
air-big: +1000 points
ground-big: +5000 points.
but when you hyper every item becomes +"hit count". since you can hyper a lot on stage 5 not only in quantity but also in quality maybe you can earn a lot of points there if every item is "+50.000".

Post of the year.
Cagar, you're going way too much "hyper" on this thread... please calm a little -_-U

If we ever get SDOJ in the arcade i know what the first thing I'm doing is
If theirs no longhena at the end telling you how shit you are at playing if you didn't just loop the game and beat hibachi I'll be pretty disappointed.

The story is about attacking a city that's totally amazing and peaceful because it's ruled over by computers, but has been invaded by some robot alien attackers (same as from DDP), so it needs to be destroyed. Presumably the mysterious loli is who/whatever was in the computer system, I can't remember the plots of the other games well enough to speculate further. If it's anything like them though she's probably not the real bad guy. She says she nearly defeated you and she'll have to try harder not to get noticed.
The ending implies either that there's a TLB or a loop, one of the lines is "it's not finished... I've got a feeling this battle's going to carry on...". They also say it's weird they don't see any of the invaders, and the voice when the screen whites out after killing the boss says "you've killed so many... do you understand?" which gives me vibes of the "actually killing your bros not robots" storyline of DDP.
AntiFritz wrote:This, a dododnpachi game should loop imo.
Would you explain why this should be the case? DFK BL did quite well without it, and at least with Strong style I haven't seen many people getting to the TLB.

–Those things are manufactured in large lots, a minimum of 5,000, I think. New subject: Is this game going to be as difficult to clear as the last one?
It’s not going to be easy. But you can clear it if you’re dedicated and try hard. I hope it takes at least 7 years to clear.

Dunno, I've always liked looping dfk 1.5 novice (haven't yet memorised the bee locations for normal) and it doesn't worry me playing a coin for 50 minutes. Never been into dfkbl so can't comment on strong style.
I can see why people wouldn't want the game to have a loop though.
EDIT: That and what gus said, if the game isn't hard enough/enough scoring potential it'll end up like akai katana...

moozooh wrote:No, I think the point here is that boosting occurs when you're gaining hits with full GP gauge during a hyper, such as when lasering large enemies.
Oh it's true... the boost appears when you have your chain gauge almost completely full. But lasering large enemies sin't enough to fill the gauge.
