^^ that's the great thing about forums, how we all share such enthusiasm for something so specific and can relate to the excitement of knowing that the next release is X amount of miles away  If you want to tell people what they should or shouldn't post, then start your own forum and be the boss

It is mildly handy if people mention when they pre-ordered, if anyone needs to calculate when the cutoff date was for the first shipment. I ordered the LE from ncsx on Sept 29 and am getting a first batch copy. It made it to CT on wed with UPS ground, so hopefully I'll get it tomorrow (I'm in western MA), not sure if UPS ships on the weekends.. okay, maybe that was TMI

8 1/2 wrote:Sure is fun trying to wade through page after page of "my order status is...." posts to find info ABOUT the damn game. Jeez guys. No offense, but nobody but YOU cares if your order shipped or not, and you don't need to update us every few pages (you know who you are).

For those that have it: Does it support "Dual" mode ala Raiden IV?
Look dude I don't speak for everyone here but I don't have a problem discussing little details like "order status". This is a community we are here to talk about things, sure order status isn't a big deal but when it comes to anticipating a huge game like mushi it can get pretty exciting for many.

If you really have a problem you should use the search function.

It was mentioned earlier in the thread that Friday is a UPS holiday, thus why my package not even an hour's drive away isn't scheduled to be delivered until Monday.

This is probably the cheapest option right now. I used them to get my DSi, and for now I'll recommend them: http://www.hmv.co.jp/en/product/detail/3678392

If that's the prevailing sentiment then I'm sorry. I'm just trying to read about the features of the game, and all these updates are just honestly driving me nuts to read through, but if that's the new cool club to be in, then have at it.

I've put together a still-incomplete OP over at Neo-GAF for those who want to bathe in the details.

I read your blog regarding this but I'm still not convinced.. most reviews I've read about HMV are severly unfavorable. Why them? You could probably get it cheaper if you used NCSX or Yes-Asia.

Woke up to hearing my doorbell ring and got my copy. I'll have to play with my 360 pad for a bit but oh well, its still a lot of fun! all the graphics options are nice, I could set up the screen just like I wanted and with scanlines.

Just had a quick credit on it.

auto bomb

1CCd original arrange on my first attempt with three lives in stock.

Its ridiculously easy.

The 'ghost' of the other character (palm or reco) shadows your sprite and adds its firepower to yours (very Batsugun-esque levels of firepower actually, which is cool) and can also be used as a bullet shield which stops and reflects bullets back to enemies for a limited time when you use laser (you get it back when you die)

no idea what was going on with the scoring really- regular shot built up a smaller counter and laser cashed it in? I also got two extends on the second boss one after the next for some reason. The small counter only went down when you use laser or die.

Honestly, I might go back to try to figure the scoring out and try it on manic and ultra, but arrange original mode was pretty boring to be honest.

...since I posted my shipping info in detail, Star Creator was kind enough to remind me that UPS has friday off (so there is no point in staring at my mailbox all day long) Thanks! 8 1/2, I know how picky this forum can be with its low tolerance for useless info, and quite frankly it's much more annoying to be told what s/he should or shouldn't say than having to skim through a few posts because you're too lazy to use the search.

I'm curious about this whole bullet reflect system in Arrange, kinda seems funky, not really sure what the point of it is (besides Takumi homage?)

It sounds like the option menus are out of control customizable, I have no doubt that the game will look great on my old Sony/Wega CRT (man, I got that puppy in '01, it's been tated on and off for almost 9 years!)

Can't wait for the highscore thread to go nuts!

Yeah, I 1ccd arrange original on my first try with 3 lives left as well. Palm and Reco charge the bullet cancelling power when you use them, by killing enemies or picking up score items I think? so keep switching the characters accordingly.

Perhaps the lack of knowledge about the scoring is what makes Arrange seem so easy? Perhaps as you raise the main counter by scoring like crazy, you'll get a complimentary rank based can of Danmaku flavored whop-ass? I know that ESPGALUDA is quite easy when played for survival, but when played for score you'll have to take huge risks making it quite challenging. If this is the case, I see a future love affair brewing between myself and Futari Arrange...

Yeah, and it'd be great if more people would keep their "omg it's an hour away!" "damn the fedex package I thought was it wasn't mine" etc there. If the content of your post does not provide information that at least one person other than you might benefit from reading, it's pretty egocentric to post it in an official thread rather than on your own blog.

...But I can understand being excited, so I can't begrudge anyone for being less of a level-headed lurker than I am.

So this isn't a complete shitpost—8 1/2: It is very, very unlikely that the Futari port has a real Dual mode, because I'm almost certain the PCB did not. If no one's thought to reply with actual information before I get my copy today, I'll certainly check for you.

bcass wrote:I think you can download the DRM transfer tool and burn it to a DVD-R so you can run it offline.
The DRM transfer tool is a page on www.xbox.com, not a program that you can run on a 360.

If your console has been banned, there is no way it can get DLC any more. As was mentioned earlier, the only way DLC will be recognized is if
1) it was originally downloaded directly to the console (not possible for DLC released after banning), or
2) it was originally downloaded to a different console, but you are currently connected to XBL (not possible after banning).

So unfortunately it would appear that you're out of luck. =(

I kind of enjoy seeing the "my order status is..." posts because it makes my FROTHING DEMAND increase. =) And, thanks to those that have posted details. It certainly sounds like a great port so far!

Ahahaha. I dunno if you've seen this, but EOJ and adverse translated some information about Arrange which may be of interest.

It doesn't look all that appealing to me from the videos, but I've never been fond of bullet reflection. Maybe some time spent with it will change my mind.

Everyone who's package shipped 11/25 from PA should have it today if you chose UPS. Mine is coming today, UPS is on point.

Lee @ videogameimports sent my copy yesterday, so hopefully that's the case for anyone else buying from him. No saturday deliveries in Sweden though, but perhaps some Brits will have a weekend full of "OMG Futari is excellent".

Ah well. It's fun reading about everyone waiting by their letterbox. I don't think I've ever seen the forum so excited about something! I'm sure the conversation will move on once everyone's got it, but for me, half the fun is the anticipation :D

Hey, what about the scoreboards and replays? Are there many available to download yet from within the game? And if so, is locale shown for the scores/replays as this is region free?

Are those cubes on the 360 mushi-related? And you damn right MX7 I'm excited. I haven't been this excited for a game since Super Mario Kart! (er... uh...) Well, it's been a while to say the least. This shit's monumental. I mean, it was the catalyst for me to get a 360.
