There's also gonna be another event on 3/29/14 for this game too (at the "Zarius" store in Osaka), but GT on that link I posted before should help, if any.
Thanks for the tip! I am going to a pinball tournament in Osaka on 3/29 (Silver Ball Planet pinball arcade in Amerikamura), so I will stop by Sofmap in DenDen Town on the way
Yeah, best to help anyways, I'm guessing no one here in this forum didn't try it out at the launch event today (well, those living in JP)? Oh well, would be fine to get some good news on the game more. >_>
I've played the first one and quite liked it, and seeing as the exchange rate is pretty good at the moment I shall put my pre-order in with Play-Asia over the weekend
I just noticed in the video that they listed Zwei, the same group from the latest DDP, I'm guessing the song playing in the video is by them; did they do the ost from the original release as well? Or is this the bonus for the LE?
I've got a Japanese 360 but I've looked into my crystal ball and read my tea leaves and I'm pretty sure that this will be region free, especially given that the first one was.
So no one tried the game at the event???? I was expecting a few comments about the gameplay but I guess I was wrong. Well lets wait then till the full game ships.
Man, that's a pricey Limited Edition. With the release coming soon, it's decision time. Since I haven't played the original, I don't think I can justify over $100 on a game I might not like at all. Nice, though, how the original comes with the LE.

Delayed.
"Xbox360 software "Barrett Seoul - Infinite burst -" Release date has been changed.
Undecided → change after April 24, 2014 before the change"
I got a bad feeling about this. I've left my imagination run wild and have started to think that maybe Microsoft is involved forcing 5PB to switch to Xboxone in order to get the title ready for the japanese launch of the system.
It is a bit strange that 10 days before launch it got delayed unless a big bug has been found, cause right now they should be making copies for the shops.
There sure have been a lot of console STG delays lately. Let's hope that they're all due to quality/bugfixing issues, and none of them end in a cancellation.
I doubt Microsoft would see Bullet Soul as a worthy title to herald the Japanese Xbox One launch in September, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Shmups were the one thing they had to keep the X360 going last generation, so it does seem rather plausible to me.
I'd think that Cave and Co.'s influence on the 360's well-being in Japan was rather marginal compared to The Idolm@ster, though. The series managed to hold onto its 360 exclusivity on consoles until October 2011.
Also, Bullet Soul isn't a particularly popular or acclaimed game among STG fans. If they really cared about courting that audience, they would finance Cave to make a Deathsmiles III or Mushi 3 for Xbox One.
That's really weird for a sudden delay so close to launch, though I suppose something like this isn't totally unheard of (Half-Life for DC anyone?). Hopefully get some solid news soon on what exactly is going on.
It is not the first time that Microsoft has done such a thing before. Let me remember you Crimson Dragon case, wich never was meant to be a system seller but it got delayed to be launched with One. Furthermore the game was finished and got even released on Xbox Live for the 360 by mistake.
Maybe shmup comunity is not too big, but is quite an important audience, not only in japan but worldwide, and bringing them to play a game of the genre since the begining is you know, pleasant in some way and show how M$ is commited to them.
Surely all of this is pure gossip but you never know. Ten days left for the previous launch date, and the game gets delayed by unknown reasons that have yet to officially confirmed and or explained.
Yeah, but from what I see, the game still has the 4/24 date on its official site, on 5pb.jp (somewhere), and on xbox JP game page for it, but yeah, I'll find it silly it gets delayed...again. >_>

You are grossly overestimating the popularity of shmups in Japan. If anything the 360 was kept afloat by an endless flood of visual novels and the niche group of players Japan that actually love western style games. There's a reason you can find copies of Halo in every Japanese game store but you would be hard pressed to find a copy of mushi. Also the fighting game community was centered around the 360 here in Japan just like it was in the US. I think that actually had to do with vanilla SF4 running slightly better on 360 or something.

Afaik only a demo was released on the jp marketplace that was taken down shortly after.
Or was the full game leaked somewhere and can now be played on a modded 360? Not that it would matter much as the 360 version has Kinect only controls.
WTB: Arkanoid II Revenge Of Doh PCB, Outzone PCB, Fixeight PCB

You're right, it wqs a demo what got leaked but I can assure you that the game was already finished on 360, but they decided to make a rush port job, changing the kinect controls wich IMO was the best idea of the job. I bought a One just for that game and damn you have no idea how much I miss Panzer Dragoon series, and Crimson Dragon has filed me in a little bit of PD, I hope see one day a sequel or a comeback of the series.
Back on track no official word yet??? Mmmmmmm Haven't someone tweeted 5PB already asking them what te fuck is going on??
Sorry if this counts has double posting, but it is not my intention since a few days have passed since my previous post.
I've just checked out official website and the release date is the same 4/24/2014.
I don't get it really, are they on vacation or something?? If the game has been delayed they should have confirmed it already.
By the way I saw Mages at the bottom, are they involved in some way in the game??? I thought they only do visual novel stuff and Phantom Breaker.
Mages is involved or probably a part of 5pb, IIRC, and yeah, nothings been changed from the release date, though they would have mentioned something.
Other than that, the achievement list is out, so I guess its already gone gold or something.
The achievement list also shows another game mode..."Musou" (not unlike Dynasty Warriors or something like that.), just wonder how this game mode would be different than the rest though.
