It's far too long ago for me to remember exactly who said it, but when Treasure were starting out on the MD, a member gave pretty much that answer ("We'd like to be considered a...") in a Gamefan magazine interview.
edit: here we go, 1993 interview with Masato Maegawa.
Q: OK, last two questions. Is there any comment you would like to make about this industry?
A: Yes, lately all I see are sequels, or translations of popular arcade games. It is really sad. Consumers are in pursuit of quality and original game designs, but not many third parties are doing them.
We are going to develop original games only! To sum it up, we present ourselves a challenge to do new things in the action platofm category.
Still no US release for this game about 3 months after its Japanese release. G.REV hasn't even updated their Facebook page in forever and I'm starting to think they just decided not to do it.
Unless they're trying to go through proceedings to get it on the eShop, that is.

<Zeether> shoe failed college again <croikle> credit feed
Release dates are June 27, 2013 (US, Mexico, Brazil)
July 11, 2013 (Europe, Australia)
A Hardcore gamers reaction to the Lack of Kinect games.Apparently i could of played Dodonpachi with it if i beat a entirely in Japanese Visual Novel piece of shit game called Instant Brain
This is downloadable today? Hell yeah! I love G.Rev :3
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.
Not up yet on the Canadian eShop , well not for me at least. Even searched for ''kokuga'''.
Edit: Ok, I switched my eShop to the US one and it's there. I switched back to the Canadian one and it's indeed missing. I hope it's just a matter of time until it hits our store. I just tried buying it from the US shop, but it didnt let me cause the zip code doesnt match my credit card. I was just in the US. Had I known I would've bought a point card.

Anyone know a place where to buy US points card? Unless Canadian works in the US eShop. Which I think I might try if no one knows for sure.
Edit: So apparently CND cards can't be used in US eShop. Just bought a US $20 code from pcgamesupply.com. Cost me $24 CND and I'm now downloading it. Don't know what the hell I could buy with that left over $5.

Twinbee 3D, of course. Dead serious, I really enjoy it. Of course, tax may put you a little far over... so maybe a Virtual Console game is a better pick. I'd say Wario Land.
Anyway, I gave Kokuga a download. Apparently it was already up when I posted earlier. I'll post some impressions of it later.

Thanks for the 411 about Kokuga being up on the USA eShop site today.
It only takes up a mere 271 blocks of memory on a SD or SDHC type flash card setup -- not much as some of the memory intensive 3DS full game d/l's these days (i.e. the JRPGs, etc).
Btw, what's the maximum sized SD or SDHC card that a 3DS or 3DS-LL/3DS-XL can support? Those 32GB SDHC cards are priced quite reasonable if on sale.
The framerate seems to be clocked in at a silky-smooth 30fps (or is it at 60fps?).
Reminds me of the classic Atari Games arcade games of Assault or even Vindicators back in the day except with polygonal bullets.
The 1st stage boss has those rotating laser turrents like that in RSG & DDP-DFK version 1.5.

Stupid region lock, I was so excited to play this yesterday!
EDIT: Looks like there was a last minute problem with the localization and it couldn't come to Canada. Most likely French language options or something like that I presume. If that's the case it may come much later or not at all.
The sense I'm getting is that even if they can update the "North American" build if may not be worth it considering the tiny additional market it could access.
