But I Think that You will arrive so late/early in the Morning that it won`t make sense to go to Hamburg???

It is now confirmed that I can't take my flight and won't be able to come to the meet, as I have to stay in my school for an extra evaluation. I'll be trying to get a refund for some of my trip tickets.

I was excited to come to this meet but it is clearly impossible now. However, I will definitely come to another iteration of it. Let's hope me and Third_Strike will both be present then !

Anyone interested in trying out the 4 player mode in Giga Wing 2? I'd seriously love to experience at least a small chaotic session there. But maybe someone should bring another Dreamcast controller, I only have one with a decent D-pad.

Besides it'll be a problematic meet for me at least when sitting at a cab. Only once in my life have I used an Arcade stick and I haven't felt comfortable at all.

And it's a shame that Prometheus and third_strike can't come, would have loved to meet you guys. I really hope this will work out next time.

we had the same infection-wave of E.coli in Germany last summer - just the press had better things to do/report than to cause panic...

e.coli appears naturally in the cows intestines, thats why its usually connected to eating/handling raw beef.

this latest spread seems to have come from spraying vegetables with unprocessed manure which are usually eaten raw hence the "outbreak"

its really no more of a risk than eating chicken and catching salmonella, which by the way is very common in raw poultry.

Until today they assumed that a certain scion-farm in lower saxony (about 150km from Hamburg) was supposed to be the source of the latest epidemia. Today it was stated that this cannot be confirmed and nothing's for sure once again. Same state as 4 weeks ago.

But still, "only" 22 people have died in Germany since the EHEC virus broke out four weeks ago and considering that much more people die every year on an ordinary influenza, I don't think we have to panic yet.

I don't know anything about that stuff, but google tells me that EHEC (a German acronym of which EC at the end stands for e-coli) in English = Verotoxin-producing Escherichia coli.

In Germany it's only being referred to as "EHEC".

I think Folke wrote he has some of the Clear Limited Edition controllers. I don't know these, if they are decent, it'll be ok for you to bring just one I suppose.

I can bring a PS2 > Xbox360 pad converter.
Assuming you have a good PS2 stick. You'll need a wired 360 pad for that, though.
Do you have one around or do i have to bring that, too?

My only concern is not bringing back e coli to my two young kids.

I have a HORI Real arcade pro for ps3 & pc. Don't know if this can be turned into a XBOX compatible thingy...

@ DEL: I have two kids as well (4 & 6) and I have no qualms about going to "germ-any". Just stay away from the veggies, the Reperbahn transvestites and wear butler gloves at all times and you'll be fine.
