So, still 14 days in November to wait the release or another information...But of course no exact date release is not a good sign...

It's not TRADEWEST's fault,

Tradewest is only the distributer while JoWooD games is the actual publisher.

I asked a gamestore in The Netherlands.

And the game selling bloke told me that raiden fighters aces has not a definite date yet, but................. he thinks that it is some day in februari 2011.

I am not kidding, i am a bit pissed. Why the waiting? For what? The game is ready, just sell the damn thing.

Well this sucks. At this rate all the Raiden Fighters arcade machines are going to completely break down where I live and I'll be stuck with this never coming out and shitty emulation in MAME.

Last I heard, some games use internal timing relative to frames per second in order to determine when events should happen. If any of the Raiden Fighters games were programmed this way, it might take a hell of a lot of recoding before it's released.

Game Maker does this with Steps as Steps is directly correlated (if Im using the word correctly) to the amount of frames per second. Ive had this issue with a game I initially timed and coded at 30 FPS and then wanted to smoothen the appearance by making it 60 FPS. It ran too fast for what I had originally designed so I left it at 30 FPS and made an experimental 60 FPS version executable anyway.

Now the time it would've taken for me to time stuff would (in hindsight with my knowledge) be considerably easier and fast to do now, but it would still be a pain as you said. Having said that, it does not take 2 years (2009-11) to do such converting and if the developers stopped bullshitting us for service then they would've announced such issues and received far less complaints then what they have now.

Wirtschaft & Firmen Der österreichische Spielehersteller JoWooD Entertainment hat die Einleitung eines Insolvenzverfahrens beantragt. Ziel ist eine Sanierung der Firmenfinanzen.

Der Vorstand gab heute bekannt, dass die Bemühungen um die Neustrukturierung des Fremd- als auch des Eigenkapitals seit gestern als gescheitert angesehen werden müssen. Aufgrund dieses Umstandes sei mit die materielle Insolvenz eingetreten.


Hintergrund dessen sind offenbar geschäftliche Probleme, die aus den zuletzt veröffentlichten Titeln resultierten. So sorgte Gothic 3 bei den Kunden wegen einer fehlerhaften Erweiterung für Verärgerung und auch der Nachfolger Arcania: Gothic 4 brachte finanziell keine Trendwende.

Trotz der widrigen Umstände gibt man sich bei der Firma aber optimistisch. Der Vorstand gehe davon aus, dass die Verhandlungen mit den Gläubigern und möglichen Investoren innerhalb von 90 Tagen positiv geführt und abgeschlossen werden können und somit der Fortbestand des Unternehmens gesichert werden kann, hieß es.
