Christ, all that packaging just for that tiny figure? Surely it has to hold something else. I think the NA Record of Agarest War LE is the largest packaging for a 360 game to date. Soul Caliber IV's LE probably right behind it.

That's a full size Nendoroid, not a petite. It should be about the size of your fist. If it's like BB Contiuum Shift it'll be boxed inside of the big box, so it's size is kind of understandable. Got mine ordered from Amazon.jp so i guess i'll find out in a month.

Well based just on the screenshots and videos released so far, it's going to be ultra crap of course.
Still worth a look if you like to collect all 360 shmups though.

I don't think I'm going to take the chance on this one. Someone else can take one for the team and tell how it is, especially when it got such a low score. While I normally don't pay attention to the numbers, I'm a bit concerned about that 4 when no one else went higher than 7.

This one looks iffy. If I do go for it, I'll probably skip the LE.

Surprised you don't follow the show, considering the.....colorful.....figures and things I've seen posted on your blog. If you don't mind heavy doses of cheesecake it's very entertaining.

Good to hear that initial impressions of it are better than expected, as it sure had alot working against it. Mainly just being a game based off a license, secondly the graphics and presentation from promos looking awful.

It being a hori and having dual stick controls similar to Omega Five (the game that rekindled my interest in shmups after a long break from them) had me excited for the game in-spite of the visuals looking like garbage and Gulti's most recent outing, 0 Day Attack on Earth, being halfassed and boring. And being a giant fan of the show didn't hurt either.

Play-Asia has the LE in stock right now, but the standard is sold out (kinda odd as they said they had pre-sold all their LEs before it came out). Was planning on just getting the standard, but I'm iimpatient and the figure that comes with the LE is adorable so I may just be suckered into ordering the LE Saturday.

You'll probably notice that none of the figures are anime related, then. Everyone just assumes that, because I like figures and games, I watch anime. I don't.

I watched the Railgun series and it's probably the only anime I've enjoyed within the last 5 years, but most of the stuff I'm even remotely interested in is game → anime, and turns out to be terrible, like Chaos;Head, 11eyes, and Umineko. I'm looking forward to playing Steins;Gate next month, but I half expect the anime to be terrible.

Strike Witches has good animation but I'm not into mecha things (or gundam anything or robots or whatever). It just seems like this anime caters to every fetish available; cat ears, schoolgirls, swimsuits, robotic legs, glasses and so on. I saw the first episode and there must have been at least 20 crotch shots.

I'm pretty sure the game will drop in price soon enough.
