I know the feeling. I don't know how many times I've died with a couple hypers in stock and blown my score.

jpj and everyone else, could your screenshots include the internet ranking code next time please?
not that i doubt your score, but since we're posting screenshots in the first place, we should go the whole way and display it because it proves you played on full defaults (it isn't displayed if you altered them).
just push O while on the ranking screen, it will display the code for the highlighted (red) score.

Got this a few days ago, but it wasn't enough to jump a place until today. Since then, I've been trying to get to tank alley on stage two with 4-5 hypers.

I'm getting better at chaining.

I'm not getting much better at using bombs; I take too many risks. I should really stop using A-L if I can't use the extra bombs effectively.

I'm lucky to get near the end of stage three. I can't even make it past stage two half of the time. Thankfully, stage three is beginning to make sense to me.

That's what I thought when it took me twenty days and probably twelve to fifteen hours to get from 14 million to 15 million. You keep at something long enough, you can't help but get good at it!

With this game I much prefer to put my effort into chaining, otherwise I've just got a constant nagging on my mind if playing for survival that I'm missing out. Plus I find it much more rewarding

Finally got my TV back and its working great(but now it has a fecked pixel right in the centre! its bright red all the time, cant see it when playing games though...). So I was gonna work on Espgaluda again, but I think I'll play this instead.

Yeah... yeah... you can say that again. I've been trying to hold my hypers and the difficulty ramps pretty badly. I've been holding hypers on stage two for the end tank sequence, and have been getting there with 4 or 5. The last run I played was a potential high score run for me. I full chained the first stage, used 2 hypers on the first boss but died, so I wound up starting the second stage with three hypers. I broke my chain twice in stage two but had 5 hypers for the ending tank sequence and wound up with two at the end. I beat the boss without hypers or bombs. Now generally I have one hyper at the start of stage 3, which I use right at the start. I wanged my hypers on and sweet mother of god, they were spitting way more bullets than they did with just one. On top of that, there was an added large ship to the right of the screen after that first wave of popcorn enemies and the first big blue ship. I almost shat my pants.
