What a bummer, I thought that this will be the week when I can definitely put my oldskool Konami hori skills to good use, and what happens? Of all the classic Konami shooters ever we end up with a vert
DJI, you better allow the HRAP autofire at least for the bombs - to avoid a frustration of epic proportions...
Edit: Actually there seems to be an option to bind both weapons to the same button. Cool.

Before Pope John Paul died he decreed that Aliens were also GOD's creatures and we should treat them with respect.

I was just thinking the same thing. No offense to any vertical shooter lover who voted for Twin Bee because it is a vert, but I personally think its kind of awkward not to be playing a horizontal shooter in a Konami Week. What has this world come to?Shocky wrote:What a bummer, I thought that this will be the week when I can definitely put my oldskool Konami hori skills to good use, and what happens? Vert Bell juggling...
It certainly wasn't one of my top 3think that's the 1st time the game I voted for is actually the winner

to be quite honest, my favourite game in the poll is Gokujyou Parodius (it's a regular in my yearly top 25 shmups vote), but coming from the experiece of STGT 06, I will vote with some strategy in mind now, and this vote was discussed between the members of my team
But I think all games on this poll are of high-quality, I am sure TBY will be a fun game to play

Does it count if you already hate it?Icarus wrote:I wonder how many people will hate Twinbee Yahhoo after this week.
I'm only being a little sarcastic. I have bad memories of this game. Something about low gravitational areas where your ship gets stuck moving slow as molasses and something about an instant death area somewhere in stage 3...
Am I off my rocker or is that about right?

Yes, funnily enough. Ranks just a bit higher than Detana! in my list of fave Konami (but well below the Parodii and XEXEX).professor ganson wrote:Do you like this game? Just curious.
Haven't played it for an age, however.
Would have preferred any of the two Paro over Yahhoo and Salamander 2, to be honest. Didn't bother voting, as Yahhoo and Salamander 2 were miles ahead by the close of voting.
Nope, that's about right. Also add the obscenely difficult stage4, bullets that actually blend into the background (nice choice Konami, yellow bullets and yellow colours in the background), and really heavy memorisation sections.RyanDG wrote:I'm only being a little sarcastic. To quote one of my teammates on namakoHQ: "...seems many people would rather play a vert they know nothing about than a hori..."

I hate it already. Messiest bullet patterns I've ever seen and Stage 4 has less visibility for bullets than Master of Weapon. If it weren't for the scoring system I'd drop this week.Icarus wrote:I wonder how many people will hate Twinbee Yahhoo after this week.
Plus player and cloud sprites at the top layer.

Absolutely! Suiciding is such a hot strategy, especially since the extends (300k/700k) can be easily obtained in the first level (well, maybe not... I guess to get the second extend for me it has been around the beginning of stage 2).shoe-sama wrote:More survival time + lower rank from deaths = lol
