Auto 6 is what my fingers usually do, but I'm voting for 5 because 6 sounds too much like the impotent Garegga rate.

Ok, let's go with 5.

So from now on feel free to use auto fire on wich ever game you like, but please make sure you stay with a Auto Fire delay of 5.

Apparently there's a 50% chance of getting 1 million points
* One Million Points Bonus : On the violet continent, if you see a coelacanth fossil on the left side, go to the -right- side and shoot. Cleopatra appears - shoot her and you'll get a million-point bonus. The coelacanth may only appear on the third violet continent.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
- Zmuda Stegui
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Points: 80,000

Zmudas are standing in a double line. This place is called Zmuda Stegui.
Shooting Zmudas at random and destroying all of them will give you a high
score. On the other hand, you can get the bonus of 80,000 points by shooting
10 Zmudas which stand on one side successively. But failure to shoot one or
shooting the other line by mistake requires a restart.
Anyone figured this out? I don't know what the Zmuda looks like.

In situations like these, I make attempts to save my hands a bit by mapping shot buttons to L and R on the joypad and using those for parts I know I can be pretty routine and lazy about. After extended play I'll also switch my button hand to using my index fingers until I know I'll need to be in my thumb-smashing position.

As for the hurting wrists and hands in general, for the hell of it go to your local store and pick up a little 3-dollar thing of vitamin B6. Keep a somewhat steady habit of poppin' one or two pills almost daily. Over a time period you may notice your hands don't suck as much when ya knuckle-down for a decent time period.

I felt it worked a bit for me anyways.

..Waiting for a steroids accusation…

I just tried it and while it seems pretty accurate, gameplay-wise, it moves at a much slower pace than the arcade original, thus making it a lot easier. Either that or my MAME runs way too fast.

late comer to stg week, when and where do we find the announcement of a new comp.? Also do you have to have a team or is that all a joke? If so, who's nerd enough to pick me?

1) New threads are made a couple days before the contest begins, with the choices to be voted on in those threads.

2) You have to be on a team.

3) You're way too late to join up. The cut off date was back before the first week of playing, at which point teams became finalized. You'll have to wait until next year to take part I'm afraid.
