Baah, I am not playing it yet! My arcade stick stopped working, goddamn, the thing is not going right. I need a new microswitch and I don't know where to buy one.

Not sure if this is for the Windows version, but about 3/4 of the way down, there's something for autofire here.

Well I actually think that Auto Fire in Darius Gaiden and esspecially Macross 2 give an advantage. But seeing how some people are used to play with auto fire and it isn't totally breaking the game, I'd say it's ok.

Super Spacefortress Macross 2 would be pretty painful without Autofire, my arm started to hurt from rapidly button smashing after a few tries. :P

Another question regarding Super Spacefortress Macross 2: Should we have a fixed course. Or should it be for the player to decide which course he'd like to try?
I am too tired for now too discuss this any further, might explain it more detailed tomorrow. But please everyone keep a friendly tone in here, everyone has his own opinion and no one's opinion more worth than someone else. No matter how much experience someone has, this doesn't mean anything. I think Vincere asked a very reasonable question there.

Set a macro up in the game's .ini file (replace one of the macro settings with 1,+) and assign it to a button in the config menu.

Of course, now I've got this working, I can't find a Blazing Star rom that Kawaks will actually play.. :x

auto-fire is not important for blazing star. in some parts, it's actually detrimental. you can have that tip for free

you may want to post WHAT the defaults are. I've seen some instances where the 'default' in MAME was different than the PCB default. I don't think it's the case for BS, but probably worth verifying.

Leeram wrote:Hi,

It looks like BS is going to win. I was wondering if anyone here can help me make sure it's set up correctly. I'm going to be using an MVS cart plugged into a Supergun. Is there any kind of system menu or something I can use to make sure it's on normal.

I've barely played since I got it a couple of years or so ago and for all I know it's set to rock hard or dead easy.

I got Sexy P working in mame as well so I'm good to go on either game, it's still touch and go as to which will win.

Cheers

Leeram
I still need help with this please, how do I check on MVS that the level is at difficulty 4?

Cheers

BS

Leeram - If your supergun doesn't have a 'test button' then flip switch 1 on the MVS one slot to get to 'Setting up the Soft Dip'. (At least I think its switch 1??).
You can then set it to Level 4.

COBBLERS to Blazing Star! I'm shocked that this game won as i think it's the worst of the 5. I'm glad to see the voting was close in the end, though. I'm planning to play both BS and Sexy Parodius this week, so if anybody's up for an unofficial SP score challenge you'll find me hanging around in the parodius high score thread :)

The game has been chosen? If not, I vote in Sexy Parodius. I like this four games.
