It's a bit sloppy at times, especially the first 3 minutes.

A break day from serious Daifukkatsu attempts resulted in a no-hyper 2-ALL. Figured it would be nice to upload since I don't know of any other replays like that.

Nice run. And for me as a total newbee (pun intended) perfect to learn about those damn wheelthings on stage 5.

DFK ura low scoring 2-ALL
I enjoy the fact that such a low scoring run can still result in a full clear. Mostly because it's perfectly demonstrative of how annoyingly fuck DFK's mechanics are. I love the game, but I whenever I play it, it feels more like a hatefuck than true love.

Clarification: Shit's basically the equivalent of if he'd gotten a 2-ALL of either DoDonPachi or DOJ with a score of like 21 million or 32 million, respectively. That is, a completely IMPOSSIBLE feat unless you're specifically challenging yourself to get as few points as possible while still getting a clear.

Still a very nice run though. I like the chain you randomly got in the last stretch of 2-5. I sort of bet you weren't expecting that to work out so well. :V

A guy named Crit1kal playing Touhou 10. This guy's schtick is to play games horribly while saying retarded things that make no sense. It does seem like he is actually trying to do well this time which you don't see him do often.

Saturn / PSX / PC Engine / DC shmup reviews and stuff

Post by futurematt5 »

Just a quick plug for my you tube videos. I'm just at 994 subscribers and will celebrate the 1K milestone with a PC Engine giveaway draw. I also am rearing (?) to get my 1K special video out, which I somewhat impatiently started making a month ago!!

I've done a heap of Saturn shooter reviews along with features on PC Engine, Dreamcast, PS2 and 360 shmups. I aim to do reviews of every Saturn shooter, and make a top 50 saturn shooters rundown when my collection is complete (not far off now).

I also do features on tech stuff like joysticks, CRTs, scanlines, and plenty of offtopic noodling with animations, pisstakes and music videos.

Thanks

I just uploaded a 24.2 million Euridice run of Hitogata Happa's demo on Steam:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwNiXMUlv24

This places me at 4th for the demo's leaderboards, though I'm not sure how good 24.2m on Stage 1 actually is, as the top 15 of the full game's Euridice leaderboard ranges from 329 million to possibly 1.33 billion (according to screenshots of unknown age from yakamino).

First vid of the Stage 6 Boss Theme of Radio Zonde. Bit of embarassment on #shmups led to me actually getting a hold of the program that compresses/decompresses .cwavs so this is original quality.

You know there's a TLB right? Don't ask me what the condidtions are though, I've only gotten it twice with runs I thought sucked.

Is it the same TLB in the SIX BEE minigame?

No, it's a Hibachi-thing with original attacks. Probably not that hard if you have some more lives since it takes damage from bombs but the stuff in the music folder indicates there might be a TTLB too.

I knew there was a TLB, but I have no idea what the requirements are. I wondered if it was something crazy like no-miss, but someone in the comments for my video said they actually unlocked it after using several continues. So. That's interesting.

I really have no idea. I first thought it was no bombs, but that does not work. The second time I got it I was so sure my crappy run wasn't fulfilling any conditions that I just played around the last boss losing 3 or 4 lives in the process and then the thing jumped out when I killed it with no extra lives left.

Dat final attack.

EDIT: Odd Mobs Zero Death Level clear, 434 million score
The true last boss is still better than Hibachi/Inbachi in SDOJ.

It's not an annoying stupid bitch for one, second the patterns seem better and more creative in some regards (like that 4-way attack) and third, the music is BETTER.
