Hey GaijinPunch, do you know where is the best place to preorder the DeatsSmiles first print for people who live in Japan like us? I saw it at Playasia but Amazon usually has better prices. For some reason you can preorder the normal edition but not the first print. I wonder why...

pondering between LE and Regular version but im deciding to open and actually play this LE...hmmm...extra 30 for arrage cd and 12 page book...hmmmm..tempting...

Animaitor: No idea... maybe b/c they don't have any details on how many they will have. YOu can register your email for them to notify you when you can preorder though.

Kron: Only thing it says it has is an Arrange CD.

It says that it comes with a full voice DLC card, but the normal edition does too. Probably a bonus for people that buy new copies.

I must be the only one who really like the LE cover.

I'm so excited for this, can't wait to play.

I don't even own a J360. Guess I probably should work on getting one. lol

Can someone link me to a pic of these "death smiles plates" i've seen mentioned here and there.

Nah, you could before, they just ran out. I preordered the day they announced it and it's still in the system. I guess they weren't expecting so many people to preorder the LE.

I get the feeling that this might skyrocket in value like the Senko LE set.

For those of us living in Japan, it's probably just as easy to walk into your closest game store and just preorder it there. The stores always get more copies than online sites.

Since im too lazy to read the entire thread, i asume this is being "in house" coded by Cave themselves. I hope this will be a nice conversion despite there Ps2 efforts and possibly to help the wounds of DDP and more than likely Ketsui. Sorry for being pessimistic but things are not looking good for 5pb ATM. People are talking patches like were playing counterstrike, there is no magic fix.

my bet is this port will kick ass, and Cave will use the codebase to easily bring over ports of their prior games on the same hardware leading up to Death Smiles, based on how well sales are. I also think Futari would come before Daifukkatsu. Of course they will probably space things out to work in favor of however reports of earnings and stuff work for businesses...

yea that is pretty hopeful...

Well, I'd gues that Cave farmed out the DOJ and Ketsui ports because they're older games, whereas Deathsmiles is still relatively recent. If Deathsmiles performs well at retail - and I can't see any reason why it wouldn't - then they'll probably handle any further home conversions of recent games in-house.

That seems especially likely given the amount of effort they appear to be making with 360 Deathsmiles.

My hope is that Deathsmiles on the Xbox 360 sells well so that Cave might consider bringing Daikukkatsu and Muchi Muchi Pork to the Xbox 360 as well. I only wish they'd bring these games to the US, but I think that might be asking a bit too much.

The problem (sorta) is that Death Smiles has mass appeal where there other titles (especially MMP) don't. I would love to see high res versions of these games, but I'm a realist.

man.. ever since i played MBL im not enjoying vanilla DS at all

take heed all you DS fans out there, dont play MBL untill you feel youre finished with the regular DS.
