For the first time I made it to the end of stage 5 of DoDonPachi with Type C Shot type. My hands hurt so much due to the constant tapping of the fire button but... IT WAS SO DAMN GOOD. I was so close of getting the second extend at 20 mill and random bullet #333 hit me from seemingly nowhere and put an end to my run. ( and, yeah, it's sad I'm celebrating such a low score and goal but reaching the 5th stage in one credit proved to be quite challenging)

Slowly working on the 1cc so I can join the "I 1cced a Cave game" club.

Also played Diadra Empty. 1cced the whole thing in Hard Mode. Trying to figure out how to unlock things because it's... well, not too clear.

Just finished a nice run of Under Defeat. Man, it's been almost a year since I played it. What a nice breath of fresh air. :D

You DO know Dodonpachi (and every Cave game) has auto-fire, right?

I've gone back to Sengoku Ace and that is the only shmup i'll be spending any real time with until STGT, unless I manage to loop it first. Not too far off I suppose, I just keep getting owned by the stage 6 boss.

Massive slap of forehead earlier when I finally noticed the really obvious safe spot for the final midboss of stage 6.

Trying to get a competitive score with Pacifism in Geometry Wars 2. Progress isn't as fast as I had hoped.

:?:

If holding the A button isn't auto-fire, I don't know what it is.

I've just reached a large spike in difficulty in Space Giraffe. The levels around 30 seem incredibly tough, although I have now figured out that you have to shoot one sort of enemy when he is moving horizontally or he will just get pissed off and speed up.

I've stopped playing Ikaruga due to the Space Giraffe addiction but will be back to it shortly.

Dodonpachi, almost have a stage 1 completely chained. The power up collect before the mid boss is giving me a hard time.

Well - I got the Dargius Gaiden 1CC (with auto I'm afraid!), so now I'm dabbling with Darius II, and returning back to Psyvariar 2 as there's a bit of activity on the new high score table.

Just got my Strikers 1999 PCB through the post too, so that might take up some of my time!

Still working on Gradius. *sigh*

Actually, I've made a little progress on original mode. After not being able to get in a good grove using my normal plan of attack, I switched things up and made it to stage 3 for the first time using lasers. I didn't last very long due to bad option placement, but that should be easily corrected.

Started playing Triggerheart Exelica last night. The throwing gimmick is a whole lot of fun. The game runs at full speed in nulldc incase anyone was curious.

LGB:

My apologies! I've not had a chance to formally thank you for your advice a couple of pages back regarding the Cyber Core speedup system. I successfully 1cc'd the game last week. I generally use the << setting throughout the game and then crank it up to <<< during the final stage (Blue Vinegar Flies?). When the final boss appears (King Tarantula?), I switch to >> so as not to accidentally collide w/ any slow-moving bullshit missles. Another note: > is, in my opinion, the proper speed when encountering "Lethal Mutant Locust King".

So, thank you LGB! Thank You!
