Oops, sorry about wrong active on RG Liu Bei, he wont be that easy to skill up, but’you should still work on it, especially since you have Shiva.
It is certain that RG Liu Bei fits him way better than Abastet. The team you mentionned looks monster, it may miss full board changer though. Dont you have one, the best would be Urd, to fit instead of the dupe Shiva ?

Awoken Shiva isn't a very good sub for himself because of his active skill. I would replace that duplicate with another orb changer, even if it doesn't have any TPA awakenings. It's hard to recommend one without knowing what's available, but when it doubt, Gigas the Great. I would also replace the Phoenix Rider with an orb changer. Phoenix Rider is the best red damage reducer you can get, but you can let him sit out if you know that you won't need damage reduction.

I don't think Christmas Liu Bei works on Awoken Bastet teams. His active skill only benefits him. The only thing he has left is 3 TPAs. If you aren't matching fire TPAs, then he isn't doing anything. If you do focus on making fire TPA matches, then it's likely that you won't have enough time to also make matches of wood TPAs or multiple wood combos while trying to reach 7 or more combos. Any benefit you may get from Liu Bei's 3 TPAs will probably be canceled out by the wood cards not picking up the slack.

Christmas Liu Bei does have wood subtype, so in theory he could work in most places that regular Liu Bei would, and might be useful for some more damage in dungeons where wood type is at a disadvantage. I'm thinking he will probably be most useful once I finally get a proper Urd team together on that account. The skill-ups are proving to be a big pain though...

Cheers Gui, the next one is on me

Also got the Angel Lumiel during last GF, I was gonna sell her when I realised that she is a mini Kali... :P
A perfect Durga sup and also fit for my A. Horus team. Not too shabby after all.

Pulled the Christmas Egg Machine twice, got silverinos: Alraune (Menace) and Ars Paulina B/R.
While little Alraune can aid my Verdandi team with a much needed delay, young Paula can join the future Sasuke squad to put her 5 Water Enhance Awakenings to good work.

Thanks to Gui`s "fuse by 4s" theory, I managed to max skill Alrauna with just 8 Echidnas 3/4, 3/4...
Luckily, Scarlet Snake Princess was on a x2 drop rate, so the whole skill-up affair took only a couple of minutes.

Now, I have got everything ready for Awoken Hades and Awoken Freyr- except for Gaia...
cheers

Glad to see it worked for you too. This is surprising.

Also, you did well not to sell Lumiel. Even though she does not produce as many colors as Kali's, she'll definitely get that 3 TPAs uevo soon, enjoy :

Trying not to read too much into the whole 4 thing, but I did manage to go 3/4 on skill-ups for my Ares with red super kings yesterday.

This is how legends live : sometimes true, sometimes wrong.
My Blue Sonia also did 0/4 after those 3/4 then 2/4. However, 3/4 do happen.
Maybe that Christmas boost is just higher than displayed, merry Christmas everybody.

Finished maxing out my Banquet Liu Bei's skill cooldown.
Also got a third red spirit jewel from the holy beast dungeon. Basically all I'm missing outside of some mid tier X-lits for Awoken Shiva is a Phoenix. Problem is it seems to be fairly difficult to get. PADx mentions that Scarlet Desert Isle and Red Skies have phoenix as an invade, but apparently now that they're always available to run, phoenix no longer drops from those dungeons? Can anyone confirm this, or point me towards an easy dungeon to farm for it?

Invades drop 100% of the time, so try farming a Phoenix from Red Skies in Sky Dragons' Domain. The other dungeon costs more stamina. You might be at it for a while because invades are rare. If you aren't in a rush then you might want to wait for 3x +Eggs in Normal dungeons to be active so you can get a little extra something for your efforts. No idea when that will happen next though.

Alternatively, wait for the Evo Carnival to rotate back to the PEM. It took a few dozen pulls but that's where I got my Phoenix. Although we're probably getting a special GungHo Collab PAL Egg Machine on the 28th of the month, so you might want to save up points for that instead if there's anything in there that you want.

---

Lately I've been playing/practicing with my Awoken Bastet team. Her ability to deal a lot of damage each turn has allowed me to clear up to and including Challenge 9, which I haven't been able to touch before. She's tough but rewarding to play; I can reliably hit 6-combos but I still rely on sky falls too much to reach 7 or more combos.

I've also been messing around with my Awoken Sakuya team, but I'm finding it extremely difficult. Her leader skill just has a lot of requirements to overcome in order to deal appreciable amounts of damage: you have to match 4 specific colors, include one or two light TPAs, and somehow get the combo count up to 7 or higher. If you do everything right, then you can deal 15-30 million damage; if not then you deal 1-5 million or less, which isn't very good.

Huge update for Puzzle and Dragons Mario 3DS is now live in the US. Golden Goomba and Magikoopas can be upgraded now. I have iPad 4 now, so I can go back to the original P&D.

I've had decent luck getting Phoenix to drop from the red Skydragon dungeon (which is what I typically farm for + eggs when 3x normals are active.) I don't really have much use for them though. It used to be that invades could not drop from the normal/technical dungeon versions of the ex biweekly dungeons, but they changed that at some point.

Why have I spent more stamina trying to get a dub mythlit to drop than I spent to get the Phoenix invade

Welcome to the club. I never seem to have enough Dub-Mythlits. Then again, if you regularly farm KoG you tend to have a steady supply. I don't do it because I don't have a consistent team on that account (although Shivadra could probably do it after some more development.)

If you have a team that can clear it, the best place to farm Dub-mythlits is Friday Mythical. Of course when you try that, the game will troll you nothing but Baby TAMADRA.

God damn, 10x +Eggs in descends is ridiculous. I'm already up 16 or so +Eggs just by clearing three Zeus challenges. I'm seriously considering dropping a bunch of stones on stamina refreshes to farm +Eggs. If anyone else is considering the same, this chart might be useful. But basically, Kanetsugu and Hera-Sowilo are the best dungeons to run. When they aren't available, run Goemon (currently available as a coin dungeon), vanilla Zeus (Almighty God in the Zeus Challenge! set), or Valkyrie (available in a few days). Mythical difficulty always so you maximize drops.

Yes, 10x descend is great, I may spend my whole week in God of the Seaways : 35k xp and 4 +eggs per 50 stamina.

By the way, question about poison orbs and auto recover : say I have one autoRCV awakening, and I match enough poison orbs to get my hp down to 0, will I survive with 500 hp due to autoheal ?

Quite probably, the poison orbs will kill you. Your health doesn't stop at 0 for the purpose of calculation, otherwise you'd need one heart match to survive any amount of poison damage. So if you end up with -600 HP because of poison orbs, and auto-heal restores 500 HP, you'll still lose. I did manage to find a video of someone surviving poison using auto-heal, though: https://youtu.be/7j70kMgQtz4?t=123

Monster HP does stop at 0 though. It's unfair.

Right, it would not make sense to be able to survive this way. Video clearly shows it : get between 0 and -500 hp and you will survive. One more thing unfair to us, bl***y Shieldra.

I actually start to have the same obsession. Trying to hypermax my ABastet team, currently at :
Abastet +297 / Verdandi +297 / Osiris +297 / Vishnu +30 / GZL nada
I am still not willing to stone for this, yet.

I'd say it depends on what else you have. A monster like Awoken Hinokagutsuchi is more deserving of Flampys than Awoken Shiva, whose active isn't great. If there's nothing else then I'd be inclined to hang on to them.

Really liking the 10x descends now that I've finally got into a rhythm. If not for the fact that it's a coin dungeon, I could probably spend the whole time farming the living daylights out of Hera-Is mythical. Getting a pretty consistent 3-4 + eggs per run out of it, and my Verdandi team eats it for breakfast.

Hermit, dont stay behind in terms of +eggs, they really help. I say you go full havoc this event and farm Zeus Challenge - Almighty God. Your devil team will clear it mindlessly, 4+eggs per 50 stamina guaranteed.
God of the Seaways in the same challenge is also pretty good since it also gives XP, but harder and longer to clear.
Then feed the eggs to either AShiva or ABastet, depending on the best team you can form with those leader, and the one you like the most.

As for skilling Shiva with Piis, I'm in the same situation and own Kagutsuchi. I did what Aisha said : wait until team is ready, certainly skill Kagu before Shiva. Your helper's Shiva will be skilled anyway.

Horus was my first awoken and due to his lackluster active I held off on giving him my flampys in favor of Hino. By the time I was able to clear Legendary Seaway I had enough to max his skill level. Now all I need is to roll Shiva (which everyone seems to have but me :? ) or an Urd my fire team will finally be in business.

Congrats ! Starlight Sanctuary is the milestone to mid-late-game, where things start to become interesting.
If you want to level up your cards faster, ou should definitely save all your Pal Points and roll the PEM during the enhance carnival (it is on now).

Also, 3 days of delicious Godfests are coming. If you have saved your stones, now is time for rolling, choose your day with care though, some may be better to you than others. What kind of teams do you run by the way ?
Jon wrote: Gung Ho colab PEM is up and boy does it ever suck.
As said above, the only use for Pal Points these days definitely is enhance PEM. Since it appeared, I never had to farm pengdras, metal dungeon, or such anymore, and my max leveled cards are multiplying themselves.
Having 5 Best Friends help, thank you all ; I dare not imagine how fast Necro's Pal Points reservoir fills.
