lol.. GOD mode.. i thought Ultra on Futari was kinda ridiculous, wtf isnt god mode gonna be like then..

big news, tho to be honest i think id prefer a Deathsmiles BL (which i guess is more and more likeley), the 4 (or more?) existing versions of mushi futari are enough imo.

ed: im a terrible translator since i dont know japanese but doesnt it say theyre doing 50yen loke tests already?

Arg. I was getting pretty close to buying 1.5 too .... now I don't know if I should, or wait for Black Label. Guess we'll see how different it is when it comes out.

Here's the reported changes:

God Mode: A mode "based on Ultra mode". Rambles on about more strength, so maybe you can blow through all that shit. Who knows. I can't imagine it being any harder. Anyways, no Ultra on this board. Just original, maniac, and God.

True boss (Spritual Larsa) is new

Shot type change. No selection now, just one fixed type. Apparently the new shot type is both normal & abnormal at the same time.

Can't wait to see it, but I will not be buying it for a while. I've spent too much on other black labels.

@sven666: no loke test. Alpha Station will have it for 50 yen per play once it arrives (next month sometime).

They make a game and a year later they release the same with some minor gameplay changes and another tiltle screen and say it's limited
I think they only make this to recycle their old PCB's and get some big $$ from crazy collectors

well, for doj it was to do with small technical adjustments because enough players complained about some factors. and for ibara, i think it was a way of recouping some money and making a "new" game, because ibara didn't sell so well.

i think this is like the former. making your shots more powerful in ultra mode? pretty fair criticism. getting rid of shot selection? fair enough. no-one really uses abnormal reco because she's too twitchy; and normal palm probably isn't powerful enough.

but overall, it's a bit disheartening that cave have made so many revisions of the same game. am i right in thinking it's like: 1.0; 1.5; red label; 1.51; and now black label...?

Red Label = 1.51 (Score Trial Version)
1.01 = the one w/ almost no difference to 1.01

The former was shown at the two Cave Festivals. The latter, only at the first one. I don't think these should be counted as "versions" though, as they were just one offs to get people to come in and buy bags worth of shit (like they all did...me included).

Crap. Try says only 150 will be made, and I tend to believe that number. Futari is a billion times more popular than Ibara, so these will probably sell out right away. I could sell my Mushihimesama kit, and maybe another kit, and buy one. But I'm a bit torn about what to do.

Damn you Cave and these limited releases.

Maybe. But not if it's like DDP:DOJ BL. The only BL you could buy easily a year later was Ibara BL, and that's because Ibara wasn't popular and neither was Ibara BL (due in part to PS2 arrange, which is close to it).

I think that has more to due with them trying to recoup money than popularity. Ibara BL did not have the initial 100 sell out at the 250,000 yen price. Probably half sold at around half of that. So they likely printed up more to sell at 125,000 yen just to break even. They are still selling them, but not many are buying, even at that low price.

I think IBL is a great game though, and more people should give it a try.

With Mushi Futari BL, it will likely sell through the initial 150 right at release. Then, like DDP: DOJ BL, there will be no reason to reprint them as they met their sales goal.

But who knows. Cave is whoring out their stuff like never before these days. There probably is a good chance they'll keep printing these later for 1/2 price anyway.

Anyway, I think I'm going to buy Mushi Futari BL at launch. Anyone else going to take the plunge?

This is going off on a complete tangent, and I'm totally out of the loop on this, but has this game been legitimately 1cc'd on ULTRA? I assume there is probably video of this on the DVD. If so, is there any way I can watch the slew of final bosses being 1cc'd without actually buying the DVD?

Yes Ultra has been 1CC'd on defaults by SWY, Dame K.K. and maybe one or two other people. Only video of such a 1CC is on the superplay DVD (one for Reco and one for Palm). Nothing online AFAIK.

It's not default. Too many lives. I think it's probably either chinese or korean player using one of the alternate score-based extend settings.

well, i will definetly not be picking this up at launch, if Cave didnt limit the release of Ibara BL (an impopular game) i dont see any reason why they would limit thisone, mushi futari has to be their most popular release since.. Espgaluda?
if it sells out and there is a profitable market for more i cant imagine anything else, profit is profit no matter how high or low your predictions are.

im sure 150 PCBs would sell out in a heartbeat only between the japanese arcades.

besides, im perfectly happy playing 1.5 untill price comes down, a new TLB on Ultra difficulty doesnt do much for me since ill never reach it anyways

still very excited about the release

yeah but she was pimping the "only 100 made" thing pretty hard when ibara BL was released as well.

"on demand" is where my moneys at.

That's probably right. I'm pretty tempted to shell out for this game on release though. I'll have to wait for a screen shot or something first.
