No that's not my game room, I wish it was. That machine is currently sat in the middle of the lounge though.
I am so insanely jealous. One day, when I have room and a spare £1k, I will have me one of these.
I think Resonance of Fate's western box art is growing on me.
Just a shame about the art in general ain't it. Those character designs are fugly.

It's actually quite amusing when you check that thread out and what people these days consider 'hardcore' when it comes to gaming. I don't consider 200 xbox games to be a hardcore, just tasteless excess.

I'd end up stripping this collection down to about two games - the rest aren't worth the plastic they're printed on:

A real fucking Egret 3 in perfect shape popped up on Ebay a week ago (in Austria, of all places)... today the auction ended and now I'm the happy owner of this prime candy cab. Tears of joy are streaming down my face right now. To top it all off, it was quite a steal as well. As to the thread's requirements, here's a pic (not my cab):

No way! If one of those things pops up in Switzerland then pigs can officially fly. And I'll be all over it(the cab not the flying pigs).

Congrats on your new toy man :)

That probably looks like a Konami "Run 'N' Gun 1 or 2" PCB up and running on the Egret 3 candy cab. It aint' a girly basketball game either. You might recall the classic Williams NBA Jam PCB and it's sequel, Tournament NBA Jam PCB. They sure sucked up a lot of quarters in them American arcades back in the early 1990s.

O_O - WOW.

Right now my panties are drenched with self-induced love fluids! Those pics are way coolistic!!!!

I want a cab but I'm no mechanic. It doesn't make much sense to me to buy cabs and Ican't keep em'up. I have two broken Neo-geo consoles and 50+ AES carts that are collecting dust because I don't have the mechanical aptitude to fix them myself and I trust no one in the Detroit area to fix them for me (or shipping them out to people I don't know)....I've been burned already BIG TIME.

Those cabs sure are sexy though. 8)

For Robotron,

What's really nice is if you get an Egret 2 candy cab and it's configured for Neo-Geo MVS button layout...pure awesomeness right there. There are some pretty talented folks here on the shmups.org site that'll fix your Neo-Geo AES consoles. Bummer that they're broken. You can pick up a cheap-ass Neo-Geo MVS MV-1C mobo + a cheap-ass supergun setup and you'd be well on your way to playing them properly if space-wise is an issue with them candy cabs. Add a proper CRT-based 15kHz RGB monitor to a simple supergun and you're in business.
