Sounds good . . .certainly worth the visit for Deathsmiles alone.

Might even tip me towards a Jap 360 when I've played it. The vids on the Jap XBox site look awesome

Just to keep you updated on the X360, I think Mush Futari is not region locked. So save your ca$h for now and hopefully we won't have to buy Jap X360s.
I'm now biding my time, waiting to see if other shooters get released in an non-region locked fashion.

Speaking to the staff at Gamefocus, I think they are planning on importing JPN 360 games to stock new. I assume that means they might get some machines in too...

Yeah, I heard that and apparently it's not locked for sure. Sadly doesn't help with the likes of Raiden Fighters, Otomedius, Shooting Love and others. Guess we'll just have to pray that either 505 Games picks them up or they magically appear on XBLA one day.

BTW what's the current asking price for a Jap 360 :?:

^Game Focus will be charging at least 300GBP for each Jasper J360 they bring in.
As for Otomedius and other releases so far, Taylor tells me they are not that good, except for Deathsmiles.
I'm gonna wait to see what transpires....

Raiden Fighters Jet is a faithful enough port if you haven't played the series to death, and I just love Raiden IV on the JPN 360, but that's a niche taste I guess.

While DDP:DOJ BL is reportedly flawed, it's more about what's forthcoming from Cave on the console...

I wouldn't be surprised if they re-released Deathsmiles as region free - like the Taito best versions of Ibara and Mushi.
Anyhow, called in to Casino earlier today, no one there (CHI where were you?), played really crap - ended up leaving a credit in Deathsmiles - hope someone made good use of it.

Sadly, I can't bloody make tonight as I'm at 'The Games Media Awards', which end late. Boo! Have fun...

No, they're not region free - I just meant that if there were a re-release, they'd probably make it region free - if Futari sells well etc. Didn't Asada mention something to "overseas fans" that they were looking into localising Deathsmiles. Probably all just wishful thinking.

Really enjoyed the trip to The Casino on Wednesday. I got there early, around 11 a.m. and there were just a few guys crowded around the SF IV cab.

Worth the trip to play Deathsmiles though. Took me a while to get to grips with the buttons and game mechanics and only reached the 2nd level boss - great game I must say . . .what's the 360 version like in comparison :?:

Might actually meet some of you guys one day . . .

It looked like if they got lots of export sales for Futari they might do others. It's region free to test if there's a market.

'Ello boys,

I'm just thinking ahead about my DeathSmiles MBL - I'm in London (in passing) a few weekends during November and want to leave it in as long as I can for people to enjoy... is anyone (Del? CHI? Whoever?) who is able to get the techies to remove the board going to be around during the weekend of the 28/29th November? Otherwise I guess we could sort out getting it back to me by post! :D

Right - I'm down Thursday then, and some point either Friday or Saturday evening!

Looking forward to it.

chi_ryu... I think DEL's your man for the boards return...

And we need something to replace it! I missed a really good deal on a Futari kit the other day. That would have been great for Casino. I'll treat myself to something tasty come Christmas time. What are people interested in seeing arrive at Casino?

I'll be down on thursday, about 6. - As to a replacement for MBL... I'd really like to see Ketsui back in, or "vanilla" Deathsmiles. I don't own/know anyone with PCB's so I'm not able to add much to the party.

If I was to come down, it'll most likely be the weekend of 20-22 November, but I'd most likely come down on the Friday (as I'll have to get a coach due to no cheap train tickets :( )
So would I be able to stay anywhere on that weekend, on Friday and Saturday night, or is that not possible?
