Don't think this has been posted yet, apologies if it has.

Futari God Mode Doubleplay! This video deserves WAY more views than it has. I love how he keeps one character's multiplier maxed out, kills stuff to spawn large value amber and uses the other character to actually vacuum in the resulting amber for massive points with little multiplier loss.

Checkpoints on, nice. I'll have to revisit the game when I get a PS2, I'm sure it's a hell of a lot more intense that way.

It's certainly more intense, but dying in the wrong place will make it frustrating really quick. Some checkpoints were placed terribly (see my last death), more or less on par with the ones in Gradius III.

Yeah, what exactly does the game expect you to do there, you can't get the power ups needed to get an option and stick it behind you :(

Fucking sick play though seahawk, as usual.

I'd say it's damn impressive you can stay focussed for an entire hour on 1 run.

Thanks :). After such a long run I do need a break, but compared to other games (Radiant Silvergun, Raizing stuff, or even Gradius IV) Gradius V doesn't demand too much of you beyond dodging and shooting.

I just need to get familiar with the enemy spawn locations on the second half of stage 7 (I was caught in the middle of them almost every time in this attempt) and I'm sure I can power through the rest of the game, which might have been only ten more minutes if I had held out.

Unfortunately I left my PS2 component cables elsewhere so it'll be a week before I can get them back and try again. Hopefully I won't have cooled off too much.

Here's another fun little run for those who enjoyed the Spaghetti Laser challenge. ;) ESPGaluda Overheat 1cc. As it says on the tin, the entire run was played in overheat mode (minus a few seconds spent on stage 3 to grab the extend). I'd definitely recommend giving this way of playing a shot, lots of fun.

Now you need to do ESPGaluda II with overheat. Or at least try it. I think i could only get to like Stage 4 on Galuda II in overheat.

One of the two included replays in the doujin Asugi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hswdWJeZdqc

This makes for the first Asougi video to hit YouTube - I did a search yesterday and got absolutely no results. Even less popular than Solid State Survivor. Pretty sweet game though.

Here's my first credit into Mushi 1.5 Original non-Max. No misses or bombs, basic scoring.

Uses the Arrange version of the BGM, my current favourite. Also comes with bonus green for no extra charge (I think my capture card needs replacing).

Nice work Sapzman.

But wtf is up with the final boss music, it sounds like a retard with a penny whistle trying to do the Gigafacer music from Dimahoo.

Hey hey, no knocking cheesy synths and guitars! Anyway come on, at least you've got to admit the 4th stage theme is great, right?

stage 4 is forgivable because the arrange composer didn't even tried to change the timbre of the instruments playing neither changed the original background rythim... he just "modernized" the sound that already played on the original. More than an arrange, that was a change on the "orchestration". I bet he was having such a hard time trying to make something worthy of the original stage 4 BGM that he just gave up on that one and took the short route...

The rest is completely "meh" for me if we compare it to the original BGM.

Stage 4 arrange is great, the rest is mixed. I just realized that you can mix and match soundtracks for each stage in each mode :)

Green Flickery Bug Princess Saga Part 2: Mushi 1.0 Original No Miss/Bomb run, 64.2m points. This one took a while longer than 1.5, with some bonus scoring tricks and a very funny mistake on the third boss which should have killed me. This one has the 1.5 OST, for added confusion.

Thanks.

One more for the time being: Mushi 1.5 Original MAX Stage 5 boss at 99999 counter, NMNB. This is pretty scary and took a while, should give a nice idea of what the mode will do to you after you push the counter over 50k.
