Its a shame Sense8 got cancelled (first I knew about it). The pacing was wrong for a TV show, with too much time elapsing between the good scenes. I suppose I liked it for the women, great variety of women there. I'd still give it a 7/10

Dark Matter S3 starts Friday. Thats another one I like for the women. I'm a sucker for a bitch that can do high kicks in tight pants. The android in it gets me horny. Enough of my wet dreams, just watch it.

Finished my umpteenth trip through the Archer universe.

Wife and I just finished White Collar. This one surprised me and was way better than I expected it to be. Characters were like able and written well enough (particularly Mozzie) for me to get through six seasons. They did use one trope two or three times, but it wasn't enough to be a deal breaker.

Midway through season two of F is for Family. Never knew who Bill Burr was until we watched season one when it came out. Thought it was solid, funny in parts, but not good enough to watch again. Now I want to go back - the show has gotten so much better in the second season. A bit like mixing All in the Family with Rosanne and a dash of Archer. If you grew up in the 70's (or the 80's for that fact), like Bill Burr or things that are funny you should check it out.

Would suggest starting at the beginning.
You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.

fargo season 3: excellent but not enjoying it as much as season 2. only criticism, i find all of the antagonist devoid of any likable characteristic.
Spoiler
reappearance of minor characters is interesting, e.g. mr. wrench. didn't occur to me until this season that he's one of the young boys hanzee approaches in season 2, last episode.

Looking forward to the finale. I wanna know if Yuri is alive.
american gods - I can't imagine how anyone who hasn't read the source material would have a flying fucking clue with what's going on, and the pacing is atrocious. I keep reading that it's 'faithful to the source material'. there's loads of material that's been neutered or severely distorted.

House of cards S5.

I think its stretching reality now. Without giving too much away, too many accidents and deaths. Any administration would be suspect that so many of its members suddenly go missing, have accidents or die (or in some cases all 3). Its a good watch to pass the time though.

Finished to watch the third season of Better Call Saul yesterday.

It started slowly and the whole tribulation with Chuck could've been resolved quicker (although the trial was a great episode) , but overall a good season and possibly the next one there will be the Saul we all know.

Riverdale on Netflix.

I've not seen dialog this overstuffed with one-liners since "Batman and Robin" which makes me feel like there's an intentional level of irony that's going over my head.

I only read a couple Archie comics when I was a kid, is this all just supposed to ride on the cognitive dissonance of wholesome Archie characters engaged in a sordid Twin Peaks-esque soap opera? Didn't Adult Swim already beat that horse to death more than a decade ago?

Although as someone who once read the Comics Curmudgeon regularly, there's something poetic that a comic he regularly joked must have been written by a computer is now a TV show literally designed by an AI algorithm.
Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.

An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

As someone who grew up with Archie, I stopped watching Riverdale after the first episode. From what I have seen, it seems to be a typical teen drama using the names of Archie characters.

I watched Police Squad. Good stuff. Every bit as hilarious as Naked Gun and Airplane, if not more so. Disappointing that it was cancelled because you had to pay attention to the show to get the jokes.

Good call. I like Police Squad!
I read about the reasons for the cancellation. That's the kind of thing that explains why we had so many shit series over the years

Unfortunately I went to Youtube to see what you were talking about and result #1 was a show-ruining spoiler. :(

Don't worry about spoilers too much, a survey showed that knowing the ending of a story beforehand was more satisfying than not knowing. They did the survey by adding clear hints to the outcome of a novel into the text and asked the readers to rate it. The ones who got the version with the added hints rated the book higher.

Frank Herbert's Dune
This looks a little cheesy at times and the acting from William Hurt is awful too, but thankfully he's not in too much of this miniseries. Seems there's a couple of different blu-ray releases floating around. I enjoy this even if it doesn't look as good as Lynch's movie.

Might not matter with this show... if you know the vein of the series, you should know how it's going to end for almost every character.

Game of Thrones S7E02 Surprisingly fine-tuned drama capped off with a vicious first blood for the coming war. Considering the claims of the show being in wrap-up mode, and now 100% off-book with alliances seemingly set, I was wary of a slide into the expedience that's tarnished the last couple seasons. On the contrary, this ep gave superb attention to the historic fault lines underlying Dany, Cersei and Jon's respective camps, and the magnitude of the former's ambitions. Invoking the Mad King as a talisman against the "just burn fucking everyone, dragons lmao" option a promising sign.

Game of Thrones S7E03 "The Queen's Justice" Another well-measured episode. The titular dose of pure horror, and a terse yet convincingly brutal siege aside, the dialogue was the consistent highlight. It's a great big soapy monster to close out, but they seem to be managing it with grace and verve.

Both directed by Mark Mylod, incidentally, who helmed the absolute series nadir of last season's "No One." Undoubtedly the script was poor, but it was his mortifyingly bad chase scene that truly shat the bed. Clearly more suited to drama than action. Hopefully they restrained him deep underground and beat him with a rubber bat prior to this season.

Yep, the dialogue was the highlight and with so much going on another large action scene wasn't needed. Seems like there's a lot to get through. Great scene between Euron Greyjoy and Jamie about the fickle masses and a

Did they all go to Casterly Rock? She needs to bring the Dragons out for a flyover Kings Landing to convince those fickle masses who has the power.

But so far everyone who has seen one (well, almost everyone) is amazed at just the sight of them. Having them simply be seen by the "the masses" would probably cause some kind of revolt. The Lannisters have put together a bunch who don't seem too loyal. That fella from the bank would do a sharpe turn at the sight of a dragon. How many soldiers would do a Theon and run away?

She is over confident but still they just need to be used as a symbol.

Pretty sure one if them will die, maybe two if they somehow manage to aim that crossbow.
