Looking for article, on hardcore101, featuring "gore" games?
Looking for article, on hardcore101, featuring "gore" games?
0. Okay for that article, now. The one featuring the gorerrific games. The article featured games, including this one game, where you went to school, and had an annoying teacher. It was something along the lines of "William Beamish" but it had more gore to it.
The Article also featured postal, and an assortment of creepy, type games
...........................
FOUND ???? that was real nice, we ran into a bunch of J-RPG hack n slash games, I wonder if we can find more?
1. I remember I ran into this, PC hack n slash, game while I was searching something about Devil May Cry. However the game is not Devil May Cry, but an SD type game with PSX or N64 graphics.
You know, represetive characters, in a simplistic world.
The game is staring two female warriors ( from my memory ). The box is whitish, and might have been reviewed on Hardcore101, a while after. Meaning the game is ( or at least ) fairly newish.
On PSX, their is a Dragon Valor, ( which is the reason why I am interested in this game. ) I think it was before 2008, but I am not sure. It reminded me of Dragon Valor.
I remember their was an edge weapon, or Melee weapons, and maybe a gun. But I remember alot of red in the preview images, and
............................................................................................................................................
2. Back at Hardcorgamer101, they had an article about the race to create the most violent videogames, back in the 1990's. One game was starring a young boy, another game of course was postal, and even, anything else that was violent including Mortal Kombat. This race was when the rating systems, first appeared. I am just looking for that article.
I think they took down the article after an a violent incident that attacked violence in videogames, but I do remember the article, featuring many gorish games, and non-gore games like Night Trap.
It is a really long article talking about games of this. If anybody remembers the article or the person who wrote it please PM me, thank you.

Zwei!! by Falcom? Although it doesn't quite match your description as it stars a boy and a girl with the former using a melee weapon and the latter being a magic user.
Or perhaps Ys Origin?

Re: Looking for PC Action RPG ( JRPG ) and videogame article
Darkstone is meant to be played as two characters filling each other's gaps. 1999 on PC, 2001 on PSX. Not Japanese, though.
There's a dungeon crawl mode in Ehrgeiz that looks a tad like Diablo in 3D, but it's only for PSX (Quest mode, that is) and only one character is female.
Crimson Tears fits the bill (two girls, guns, blades, old looking graphics), but it's only for PS2 (released by Capcom, made by Dream Factory of Ehrgeiz fame). One of my very favourite dungeon games.

Thank you for those suggestions, especially the Dark Stone,, and the Energiz mini-game. The game is a PC game, and was released in Japanese Land. Not a PS2 game at all, in any way, this was made for the PC ( like Windows XP etc ).

Windows XP was released in 2001, after Quake III Arena and Unreal. Computer game looking like a PSX/N64 game released at that point is something I can't say I saw coming even from Japan.
So, Zwei!! sounds most probably.

Re: Looking for PC Action RPG ( JRPG ) and videogame article
It is not Zwei, the game was on PC, it is a fairly new post 2005 game, from Japan. It features a girlish character wielding sword, and comes in a whitish bare box, or might have appear to. Their is platforming, and bares a resemblance to Dragon Valor. I doubt it was ported to PSP, because I remember it as a PC game.
Anybody has a link to a Japanese PC release website that keeps track of these things. If you liked Dragon Valor, this game is also playable.
...........
Unrelated anybody read that article, I was asking about???

Re: Looking for PC Action RPG ( JRPG ) and videogame article
It has nothing to do with Falcom. I just remember red white, and two girl characters, and it was for the PC. Just a simplistic Dragon Valor type of looking thing. Maybe I remember it differntly but I know it was reviewed, but I can't find it, again.
When I say Dragon Valor, I do not mean ancient time, but the way the game was a 3d ( 2.5ish ) kinda thing, but it was full 3d exploring like Bomberman n64, but this game is made in the later 200x's. Not a well known company name.
I forget what I put in, but I do remember it having a simplistic looking box art.

Both those games are very close to what, I was looking for, but I remember lots of red, and that it is more Japonese themed game. Not just the ole DAD, Ancient time hack and slash, with "Anime" overlay.
Maybe their was a priestess ( like what Sakura/Akikio or Pocky n Rocky is ), but I remember it being very 3d worldish.

"violent incident that attacked violence in videogames...Whitehouse is not the exception."
Interesting topic though, waiting to see how this develops.

Re: Looking for PC Action RPG ( JRPG ) and videogame article
The article was featured on Hardcore, it showcase a bunch of videogames, that was trying to get the highest rating, as a violent videogame. Stuff back in the 1990's, when their was nothing left to bitch about. I assume, they took it down, because an hostile group, held a media burning day, which included videogames. Do not want to bring up that topic, I just want to read the article itself.
I am into fiction and the relationship with non-fiction, kinda stuff. Most people into videogames, around my age are only getting into ( back into it ), because of their relationship with companies like Nintendo ( consumer wise ). I am into ficiton on many levels, including videogames, and I just wanted to read that article.
Speaking of good reading, deviantart also has some nice articles, written by people, who just write stuff, but it is good reading, you know to past the time, when you need something to read.

Re: Looking for PC Action RPG ( JRPG ) and videogame article
There was a "Top Ten Gory Games" (or something along those lines) article I read somewhere and I remember Soldier of Fortune II, Guwange, possibly Carmageddon too featuring there. I don't think miko is a playable character in Guwange, but some doujin Touhou spin-off could be what you are looking for.

Yeah it was something along those lines, the article I mean. I tried checking though Hardcore101, but I still can't find the article. I am browsing and browsing.
The game itself, I ran into it, by searching Dante, or even sword something.

Could it be Bloodover?
Else, something that looks like Devil May Cry, has a lot of red and white and features two girls... That sounds exactly like Croixleur: http://www.croixleur.com/ It definitely doesn't look like a PSX/N64 game though, and not with the Sigma remake coming. http://lost-identity.jp/souvenir/html/C ... eurHD.html (Original release was from 2010 as well.)
There are no articles about the game on the site though (just brief mentions via search) so I guess it's not this one mainly due to the release date.

NOW REACHES THE FATAL ATTRACTION BE DESCRIBED AS "HELLSINKER". DECIDE DESTINATION.
Re: Looking for PC Action RPG ( JRPG ) and videogame article
Okay, for now I am going to assume, this was the game I had ran into, however I remember it having more dept, but since it matches up, I guess it might be it, but I still remember more 3d inside of it.
Two girls
Gun and sword
Red
Found while searching DMC, by accident.
Yeah I think Blood Over is the game, must be the game, but I still remember more 3d views, I have to get a better look at it.
