Yasumi Matsuno's "Crimson Shroud"

Post by Necronopticous »

Has anyone picked up Guild01 yet? I believe that it came out in Japan today. I'm a huge fan of Matsuno's work, so I would be all over it if the 3DS weren't region locked.

Huge fan myself, so I hope it gets ported to other platforms sooner or later.

I got a 3DS for Christmas and this was the first game I downloaded. It was a slow burn at first and damn, if the first playthrough wasn't hard-as-nails, but I've become hopelessly addicted. Ive been playing for 21 hours. The game really reminds me of Vagrant Story. The story is top-notch. Alex O. Smith's translation really is amazing, as usual. I'm also very happy to see that the Japanese text is also included. I'm about to beat the Game+ and will probably play it again in JPN. It makes me wish Matsuno was still making games with Level 5

Story, music and atmosphere is awesome. Gameplay is kind of interesting as well but a bit too underdeveloped for my taste.
The combination of Matsuno, Yoshida and Sakimoto is always awesome in my book.
