My gooood, what an amazing race! A very fitting end to such a spectacular season.

I don't like Alonso but I can't deny what a great driver he is. I never expected he could finish second today. He did his part, unfortunately Ferrari didn't do theirs delivering a good enough car.

I was very surprised to see how quickly Vettel catched up the rest of the field after that accident at the start. I thought the title was gone at that moment.

Oh, and it was great to see Massa at the podium again. The first half of the season was very tough for him, but good to see he made a comeback. Hoping he keeps it up next year and maybe even challenge Alonso.

2013 season can't come soon enough.

Epic. Such a great end to such a superb season. Most cars very close in performance, Williams and Kimi getting in on the race wins and Vettel topping it off by finishing 6th from dead last with a dented up and half off exhaust.

Alonso having a massively inferior car is nonsense - it's not been great in qualifying but it's had very strong race pace throughout the season. Who wins deserves it - Alonso, like Kimi, has been there to pick up the pieces as others made mistakes. Consistency won him his previous two titles but it wasn't quite enough this time around.

Yeah, I missed out on watching the very last F1 race as I was working. Will have to check it out on the ol' DVR box setup to see how it went down.

Btw, how often does F1 have "night time" based racing? It certainly adds a wrinkle just like with Nascar's night time racing events (but pushing the 300 to 600 mile endurance barrier at times -- can a stock car 850hp racing engine go the distance without mechanical malfunction/breaking down in the process would be the real question here).

Abu Dhabi starts at dusk and turns into a night race shortly after. Singapore is an all-night race. But to be honest, the races in those locations are usually boring.

Yes, I recall watching the 2011 F1 race hosted in Singapore where one of the cars crashed and caught on fire making for quite a dramatic turn of events. Never a dull moment when you least expect it.

Vettel could take a 20 second penalty for this and loose his 6th place in Brazil. Alonso would be champion by 1 point.

Pretty pathetic to see Alonso pushing the issue so hard and trying to win the championship this way. The guy will try any underhanded tactic to get his way.

Things were set right. Although I would have liked Alonso in the first place Raikkonen did such an excelent job with his tires... he literally made then his waifus... only 2 stops.

Well, in China 2011 Webber qualified 18th and still managed to finish in the podium, thanks to the excellent car. I'm still expecting him to finish high in the points tomorrow.

I didn't watch any race this season yet, they're starting like 3-4 am over here. No way I'm staying up that late. Will start watching when the circus reach Europe.

I didn't expect much from the movie and was really impressed. I would even recommend it to people who aren't F1 fans.

Niki Lauda seemed to be very cool when he was young (unlike today). Totally arrogant asshole who said and did what he wanted. Kind of combining the best characteristics of Alonso, Montoya and Jacques Villenneuve into one, heh.

The only downside now is that my anticipation of the upcoming 2014 season lowered, after seeing the glorious racing of 1970ies Formula 1
