Yargh, I blame that Trevor boy for turning Alucard metro...and that tramp Sonia! I don't understand why he hangs out with such a bad crowd, why when I was his age I was already slaughtering the innocents and bathing in the blood of women, is it so hard for him to do what I did?

Anyways, 2nd epiphany: saw first minute of the credits and read that some guy (forget his name) was the Director and Producer, not Iga (who was just Assistant Director).
With "Some guy" you mean Toru Hagihara, the great director of both SotN and Dracula X Rondo of Blood.

Quite sad that everyone knows Iga and not him...

According to IGA, Sonia Belmont doesn't exist.

Hey!

According to Iga, Castlevania's made up of girly men and exploration.
Iga's not Konami.

Nah, that's Ayami Kojima's interpretation. :P

I'm not even sure if Igarashi likes this style that much; the biggest compliment I've heard him utter was "she's ok - she can draw". :lol:

I haven't read Iga say anything like that (though that doesn't mean he hasn't said it). But the art director for the canned Castlevania Resurrection project on Dreamcast said those exact words when asked his opinion on Kojima. This was part of an email interview between him and the owner of the Castlevania Dungeon site.

Correct.

Here it is right here:

INTERVIEW WITH GREG ORDUYAN, art director of the aborted Castlevania Resurrection for Dreamcast.

Sorry, yeah, I'm probably thinking of him!

I remember reading an interview with that guy; he sounded like an absolute c***.

I do wish the old artists were back at the helm, though. Adachi and Taro working on the score... I really wish Hagihara and Igarashi had the kind of influence to make a 2D console Castlevania happen again. IGA clearly wants it to happen, at any rate. :cry:

This isn't just my Castlevania IV nostalgia coming to the fore - I strongly believe there is potential for an absolute classic here, even if it's a 3D game. So much untapped genius (at least in terms of the musicians who're no longer working on the series)...

@Bal-Sagoth:

Reading that kinda makes me understand why Maegawa wanted the original team back before making another Gunstar. That man should be beatified.
