Fire Shark! Object Ram Error

the game has been working fine, looked over and saw a mess on the screen.
now it says "OBJECT RAM ERROR" and it wont boot.

ive checked the voltages on the p/s
checked the voltages on the pcb.

wondering if anyone has had the similar issue, etc.

Check SMT leg joins, if they're OK work out which are the sprite RAM and logic probe them.

SMT leg joints look fine. ill have to figure out which are the sprite ram, im gonna search for some schematics first.

They don't exist :( It's probably the fastest RAM on there - I'd guess at the skinny 6116s.

i piggy backed some 6116's and no change. im not sure if that works on that ram, but i tried :)
ill have to dig out my log probe tomorrow.
