So read all the 49 chapters released, shit gets intense, with even all the jumps and flashbacks, it really ties together in the end, atleast there isnt any obvious glaring plotholes till now, the author really knows how to show the desperation for survival.
On another note, chaps get released every month or so, but the content is pretty rich.

When you have suddenly have to shit at the exact time you're supposed to leave for work. "Should I shit on company time, or my own time?" is the question. Being late is more obviously bad, but I spent a good thirty minutes shitting early on at work the other day, and while no one said anything (how could they?), I definitely sensed some shitty resentment.

It also (quasi-related) took me a good nine wipes to come up clean on the toilet paper. Serious will power, especially since the company paper is 1-ply. Chafing, anyone? But does anyone credit me for this act of modern heroism? No.

The hiccups. They seem to come completely at random and the home remedies only work if they want to.

Also, that Gunforce II (aka Geostorm) was never released on home console despite easily being the best Contra-clone ever. And for that matter, that a lot of Irem's best games never get decent home ports.

The conversation about Attack on Titan reminded me of a conversation I had with some friends lately.

There's a trend I've noticed in anime, and its beginning to kinda get on my nerves. That trend being that no matter what the anime in question is about, no matter what its tone or premise... at some point, they all seem to turn towards being escapist heroic fantasy.

Of course, Titan within five eps introduces that one of the mains can turn into a Titan himself. Another example is Crying Freeman, whose premise sounds like it should be dark but within three eps its another show about a kick-ass martial artist beating bad guys.

Does anyone know of an anime that averts this trend?

I found Shigurui decently bereft of heroism. There are more and less honourable characters but none are left uncompromised. What would be the "badass protagonist" amounts to nothing more than a cog in a thuggish system. The anime's pretty good but it only covers about a third of the manga, and it's a very slow watch which requires some patience.

Gantz, quite the opposite, the escapist protagonist turns quite well into a respected hero. Read the manga though.
Also, Attack on Titan, gets better, though again, read the manga.

1. When you have a sloppy shit and spend a good 5 minutes wiping and ultimately chaffing your ass. Then you get up, put your trousers on, and realize you have another sloppy shit on deck.

2. Slightly less annoying: you get in the shower, clean up, clean your ass out, and are about to do the final rinsing, when you realize that you need to shit. All for nothing.

3. Eh, whatever: You've got your morning routine figured. It's fifteen minutes to drive to work, and you've allotted yourself twenty minutes. As you're heading out the door, you realize you need to shit. You ask yourself: is shitting first thing at work better or worse than showing up 5 minutes late due to a shit? The former is obviously preferable, until you remember that the office has 1-ply TP, whereas you've got the ultrasoft deluxe 3-ply at home. Run me a cost-benefit analysis on that!
