Was messing with this a bit tonight on lvl2. Thinking I should really start submitting more scores for the junk I play randomly.

Edit: Seriously no one has submitted a score in almost a year!?

Gave level 3 a shot and died at the final boss to my own stupidity mostly. Didn't help that I managed to get kicked in the face 3 times in the EX stage. Scores not all that vastly improved though considering it was level 3, I must be missing something about the best ways to score. Also sometimes the lockshot just stops working... Does it use MP or something? How do you refill it?

Updated. Nice scores, and glad to see the game being played. And that Rosa score of yours made it to the bottom of the Rosa individual board ACS, so doubly good work!

As for the lock shot charge... it's been a while. I'll get my thinking cap on, but am sure somebody else knows better.

Why does nearly everyone play Follet in IIx? Does her familiar syphon blue crowns when trained on enemies like in the first DS? Playing as Casper I find myself wasting too much time creating suicide bullets at 1000 and eating them to pump the blue counter to 7000.

I suppose I answered my own question to some extent. I beat my previous best /w Casper by only about 3 billion on 2nd run with Follett. Still not sure exactly why she scores so much better. My goal is to get in the 6 billion range. This run was with the EX stage.

UPDATE: Goal achieved. New score below. Next goal is 7.5billion. Need to do training on final stage and boss.

Don't even know how I did that, just copy pasted!

I scored a higher run, but since the game crashed before I could see my final score, here's my next higher one.

Had I really left this since June? So sorry... I must have missed it in my last sweeps through score board updates!

Anyway, updated.

And it's Christmas time now, pretty much. Time to get your festive scores in!

Before i actually submit my score, i want to ask :

1.What's the difference between original PCB and original 360?

2.Will a score coming from laptop running PCB version (kinda like taito type x on pc, except it's cave pc instead) count?

The only way i could play deathsmiles 2 is on my laptop. I don't have xbox 360 at all (i only have my ps1) and buying PCB is out of question (i'm still studying in college after all :p)

Arcade mode on the 360 is missing a ton of slowdown if you use Lei. It's fine if you play with Casper, though. Not sure about the other characters. I also have no idea what DS2 emulation is like.

It's not exactly emulation btw. You are not using MAME or anything like that. If you have ever played battle gear 4 of ssf4 arcade edition on pc, it's the same thing. Basically, they put the original files and load it with some sort of loader. Cave PC is just a Athlon64 processor with radeon 3200 igp. It can easily hacked to run on normal PCs, much like how taito type x games can be played on normal PCs. One think i see though is the slowdown seems to replicate the orig.arcade. Even with 4th gen i7 it still have slowdowns, like it's deliberately programmed. Except for some little sprite flickering at the first stage ot looks the same (Which is weird since using nvidia instead of intel gpu flickers the whole screen instead).
