Steel Saviour PC installation problem

Hi I'm having real problems installing my copy of Steel Saviour on my laptop and could really use some help as I'm desperate to play this Einhander esque shooter!

The problem is after installing from the disc I am asked to reboot my laptop in order to complete the installation - I reboot and when load the game I get the same message again asking me to reboot in order to complete installation???
Have tried changing compatibility and other obvious bits but no luck and keep getting the same message!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be file permission related. If you're willing to take the risk, disable UAC then install the game, see if that helps, obviously re-enable it again once the game's working.

So tried that and unfortunately no go - same problem.
Would welcome other suggestions as this is driving me nuts!!

Have you tried running the installer as administrator?

I've tried opening the exe file as administrator and that didnt work.
In order to run the installer as administrator I'm guessing I would need to open files when I insert the cd and run the install from there as opposed to the default install/start/info menu that loads up?

Unfortunately that didn't work either. Same old problem...
'Application installed successfully. Reboot the computer to complete the installation. Continue?'

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice and support - much appreciated - however still no luck getting the game running and after trawling the web for answers to no avail have decided to throw in the towel and admit defeat.

Which OS are you trying to run this on? I have it fully running on my Win7 x64 box.
