My Super Neo 29 has a little pincushion issue on the left side of the screen. Not terrible but a little annoying. Searched for the pincushion trimmer under the cp but nothing.
Found this image on arcadecontrols. I have the same "misterious" pot on my chassis, naturally. Is it the "saido pin"? Anyone with minimum japanese skills?
My actual test grid. As you can see, the issue is very visible on the left side. I don't take care of that: with a little overscan the problem is masked but, if possible, i would like to solve it.
Are you sure it's glued?... sometimes there's a clamp that needs loosening. I've had success with really tough yokes by finding a flat edge on the appropriate side you need to adjust and gently tapping down on a large flat screwdriver with a hammer....extreme care must be taken obviously.
Yes, decided to leave the screen how it is... i don't have the skills for this type of work. And, after all, the image quality is acceptable. Thanks, guys.
My egret 2 has a slightly rotated yoke as well, pretty common to see. To adjust you have to take the crt out of the cabinet (which means take it out with the rotate mech, a pain in the ass).
It doesn't matter for most games unless the huds are at very edge of the screen border (shame on the developers who did this). It is always good to have just a ity bit of overscan for
blooming.
