I really need some help about superguns...
I'm new on this scene and I would like to play shmups Jamma PCBs like dodonpachi, espgaluda using supergun
I know that superguns uses jamma standard I need to know if every jamma pcb works in any supergun considering number of buttons, I know this restriction.
for example, is this supergun able to plug and play a Dodonpachi PCB?

Re: help about superguns
That's a Vogatek V, which should work with most (if not any) JAMMA game. Pros and Cons on it as seen on Arcade Otaku.
BTW welcome to the shmups forum

Re: help about superguns
That's a looooooot of money for a Vogatek supergun, I can tell you that. But if you're in Brazil I dunno, things are always way more expensive there
R$250 is about CAD$130. As a comparison, I paid about CAD$40 for mine.
But back to your original question -- you shouldn't have any problem playing a Dodonpachi PCB with a Vogatek.
EspGaluda is a tricky one I think because of the 4th button. I don't know which pin they use for the 4th button on that board, since JAMMA standard is only 3 buttons per player. If it's the same as a Neo Geo, then you're good to go because the Vogateks are MVS compatible as well.
For 6-button CPS2 games you have to build your own kick harness, but it's not terribly difficult.
BTW there's a supergun thread somewhere, I think it's pinned in the hardware section.

Re: help about superguns
If you get one of those Matt Ross custom-made superguns, it has built-in support for NTSC-based TVs with it's Jrok transcorder output in both Composite Video & S-Video ouputs + 15khz RGB output to hook up to an analog CRT-based RGB monitor (via a D-sub-15 pinout interface setup) What's cool about a Matt Ross made supergun is, it'll output in both RGB & either composite video/S-Video at the same time (most superguns only do RGB or output in PAL/NTSC video output but not at the same time --- assuming if said supergun has an on-board Jrok transcoder PCB setup to output in either video signal format, of course).
It uses a regular PC-based ATX power supply already placed inside the metal case. It has support for the Neo-Geo AES arcade stick + AES gamepads so playing a 4-button endowed Jamma shmup PCB like Cave's Dodonpachi Dai Fukkatsu version 1.5 won't be a problem at all. Quite a solid supergun I'd have say -- they keep on ticking like a fine Timex watch. Haven't had any issues with one.
