plenty of consoles whose looks I like - I wouldn't call any of them particularly sexy looking.
This LaCie hard drive enclosure? Well maybe, but it looks like it belongs alongside some rocks in a pool at your local backwater airport. The GameCube? Fiddly looking. N64? Cool looking controller but the console looks like its own headstone. Dreamcast? doesn't excite. At least it's not as embarrassingly dated as the Divers unit. PlayStation 2 models? Design of the time. (Re-editing because I mentioned the PSX - the home theater thing - in the early edit of this post).
sort-of choices from the home computer - there's some nice-looking MSX / MSX2 models out there, like the Sanyo MPC-10 Wavy (white model) and my own favorites (and the first is my own model), the Sony F1-XDJ or F1-XV.
yeah I will reinstate my vote for the car marty, the superior choice. It looks like something you use to input course data into a '70s era cruise missile, or a data recorder box.
The other nice-looking console is the Mark III Master System, at least judging from pictures. I have the Japanese Sega Master System, the traditional black plastic thing with triangles all over. Triangles! Never forget you will never see these sharp shapes in our games.
