my roommate who lives in living room start bringing his girlfriend in on weekend.
i'm totally cool with the facts that they mating like horny animals during their reproductive season, but i really hate it when they wake up at 6 am and start doing it ......................on Saturday morning................,not to mention that his girlfriend's scream is loud as fuck (ha!).
I told him that i'm totally cool if they do it at weekend night as it's the time i work on my freelance job anyway, but doing that in morning is so goddamn annoying.
His reply? "i'm going to buy you an ear plug"
...............................
May be i should go poke a hole on his huge batch of condoms or set up a hidden camera or something, who dares to wake me up before 7 in the morning of weekend without good reason deserves to burn forever in fire of purgatory. :x

I'll opt for the camera. Putting holes in condoms... Nah, that's just not fair to the little souls that would either be a) unwanted or because of a), -> b) be aborted.

But having them on film... You could share that with the rest of the forum, or even better, make some money of it...

Full time as a bank teller, part time as a cashier. Mind you, I'm not expecting to retire at 45 or anything like that, but the way things are going I could quite literally work for this company for the rest of my life and still never be able to move out of my parents' house. The saddest part is, there are loads of people out there just as underpaid as I am, but don't have folks willing to give them a roof over their heads, and their employers aren't any more sympathetic than mine.

You are me but without a job right now. I had a job but this crisis has stormed through my country and we are just recently picking up the bits it left. Meanwhile, more than 50% of the population under 25 years in my country can't find a job.

How does one become a bank manager :?:

Oh, and to add to my first-world problems that annoy me. Some dickless piece of shit scratched the driver's side door of my car while I was at a job site. I'm pretty sure it was one of the county sheriff recruits since they're the ONLY foot traffic where I parked my vehicle 8)

Ads like this, not so much the art as the message. This one isn't subtle, which I guess is a good thing...

shitty free MMO #14, now appealing to 12 year old weaboos.

I find then amusing in their mediocrity.

Oh my god, I thought I was the only one pissed off by those. Sick of seeing that game's ads on websites. Every single one of them get adblocked instantly, I can't understand how anyone could make an MMO look more trashy and unappealing than by doing that.

I'm annoyed by having to share a TV. My husband likes to watch TV way more than I do, and thus I feel bad taking it from him to shmup, etc. Thankfully, I've got it setup now so my Xbox actually has a smaller monitor connected to it closer to the couch, so I can actually play more without feeling bad about stealing the one good TV away (and it's a rotating monitor, so TATE get!).

Any game that advertises itself via popup/click on ad isn't worth playing.

I had a chuckle at that ad, personally.
Lord Satori wrote:Any game that advertises itself via popup/click on ad isn't worth playing.
Dude, Bloons Tower Defense 5. It has large ads bordering the gameplay window. After a while you filter them out. Most of their ads are in good taste (they had one for Kellogg's cereal recently, another for Rio De Janeiro tourism in a player that could be paused, etc.) too.

Anyway, how is a free game supposed to generate money if it doesn't take advertisers?

If anything, I find that games without ads tend to be hosted by people who are either "hosting" somebody else's game (nearly half of the crap in the Chrome Web Store) or use premium items to a gameplay-destroying extent where you have to grind and grind to make progress (obviously bandwidth isn't the main element driving these decisions, just playing games with your tolerance for tedium and annoyance).

No, he means games that advertise themselves like that, not that advertise other things.

Scarlet Blade isn't so much as advertising itself as it is whoring itself out to the lowest kind of customers.

Seeing random capitalization at the start of words in posts.

"As an Example, Like this."

aaaaaa
jeez, if you don't care about proper capitalization, all lowercase is infinitely better, if still bad when used in a not-IRC context :P

Oh, and DVD movies that refuse to play in any of my computer drives. The worst bit was when my PS2 didn't even bother to spin the disc up, it just kept stopping the motor just after starting it up. I thought the damn thing had gone through, dropped another movie in, it plays.

Shit like that can easily drive someone to just say fuck it, return the disc, and torrent. It did play on the dedicated DVD player that I almost never use though, so I still have the disc.

With the excellent "women don't say no" subtext, something we clearly need more of on the Internet...

Speaking of annoying capitalizations... Y/you takes the cake, and it tends to come with Arbitrary Caps, too.

This uproar on the 15 second (15 GODDAMN SECONDS) teaser to the new Daft Punk album. Seeing all these little shits go berserk over a 15 second clip makes me sick. Talk about the ultimate whores of music. The most pretentious robots on earth.

Nah, people aren't angry--they're ecstatic. Dry heaving all over the net for a 15 second clip. I'm the angry one.

Little things that annoy me, eh?

TV Tropes and the Troper culture. I really hate how people treat it as valid literary analysis and not just a bunch of kids making up an excuse to plug their favorite shows.

People who don't like arguments. Or rather, people who try to be internet peacekeepers and always try to stop every discussion that gets a little complicated because OMG it might become a flamewar.

People who demand "respect" despite not having a single respectable accomplishment to their name. In western society it seems like everyone thinks they're a celebrity and deserves to be loved the minute they're born.

Related: How schools won't give kids Fs anymore.

People who claim to have Aspergers because they think it gives them a free pass to be stupid or dickish.

Depends what you mean by "respect". As a human you should naturally respect everyone until they do something to lose that right. Love and adoration - well, thats something else.

The flipside to your pet peeve are those people who enter the world thinking that everyone else is utterly beneath them and that their respect can only be earned. Ive known people who actually live by this philosophy. Thinking that it's okay to just shit on everyone who hasn't accomplished everything on your personal checklist of awesomeness - that's just awful.

I just treat TV Tropes as a sometimes-convenient (but sometimes wrong, if you know the source material well enough you sometimes can spot glaring errors, but then sometimes there's interesting insights) as a web graph of things that use related concepts, which can be quite handy to have. As anything more than that, nah, I don't think saying "both of these things have bad guys that wear stovepipe hats" is a great insight into the character of a show. But I don't recall them saying "this is the most important thing to know: both of these things have bad guys that wear stovepipe hats."

For some damn reason, Google is now blocked in my computer. I can access every other site just fine, but Google or any Google-related site is off-limits to me now. I've run every sort of anti-malware, checked the firewall but nothing can fix this. Changing the browser doesn't help either, both Explorer and Firefox can't access it.

My brother messed with all sort of configurations on my PC and almost knocked out the network here, but he managed to fix it. I then restart the computer and the problem returns.

I searched for a solution but can't find any. Very annoying :?

I always defuse that claim by asking what about the people who had Asperger's before it was discovered, and yet managed to become perfectly functional members of society. It's not like it was invented overnight and prior generations didn't suffer from it, right?

The big thing that bothers me about TV Tropes is directly related to your "people who don't like arguments" bit. The whole attitude of near-total inoffensiveness present there is fucking weak, I can't describe in a better way.

As for literary analysis, eh. There are valid things to take from TV Tropes, but it's still less serious than Wikipedia, so you take everything with a pinch of salt. Or maybe a whole damn box of Morton's :P . Plugging your favorite show isn't a bad thing either, I wouldn't have seen or played quite a few things without having seen it referenced there.

What bugs me is when I see people go on directly referencing TV Tropes labels constantly. Using the things those names represent is fine: tropes are inherent in storytelling. Calling them out by name is less so.
It's really bad reading/watching something and suddenly having your suspension of disbelief completely shattered with a direct trope name reference. Thank goodness that it's limited to fan-works, but fuck.
Bad guy follows the Evil Overlord list without calling it out directly? He's actually being smart, it makes for a more dangerous villain, and even having read the list, you'd appreciate it. Bad guy says that he doesn't have the Idiot Ball? Stop producing things, author. At least until you can bring yourself not to be so damn unsubtle.
