My best runs seem to leave out the Gunbird train trick, but do you have any info on it, Nemo? I only know how to do it if Germany comes up as my first or second stage. Also, DEL mentioned on the old forums that there's a trigger to select the 1-8 midboss.

I haven't played the Saturn version. But I have MLF and compared to the arcade, it is a walk in the park. It's missing ememies, some enemies don't shoot. The 4th level boss is bugged so when the 2nd phase starts, it floats to the top of the screen and SITS THERE doing nothing waiting for you to kill it.IlMrm wrote:790,900 - IlMrm - 2-1 - Yuan-Nang - Playstation MLF
Is MLF easier than the Saturn version? I remember reading a thread about this.
The only way to make it move is to shoot off both of it's wings at which point it resumes its AI.
The 'table' at the end of level 5 or 6 doesn't even shoot at you.
Strikers 1945:
629,700 - Ghegs - 1-7 - P-38 - PSX
I am so inconsistent in this game it's not even funny. Man, I wish there was a practice mode.

No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Obviously it's in Strikers because I don't play Gunbird, and I posted a Strikers score. The train is from Gunbird.Anarchos wrote:Am... what exactly should I do? Not shoot that plane on the left side down, not shoot that red plane, or go up the corner?
And btw, that's in Strikers, and that (odd) fellow said Gunbird-trick.
To do the trick, you hold your fire coming into Germany (or just don't shoot any enemies). Move your plane over the first tree as pictured if it's the first stage you play, or the second one if it's the second. Then, on the next line of trees, move it over the (middle if first stage, rightmost if second stage) tree and hold it there until the train appears.
Thanks for the info landshark. A separate table has been added for MLF players, if you're playing this version please specify it so I know who is playing the PS/2 import and who is playing MLF.landshark wrote:I haven't played the Saturn version. You'd have to do that for every game with tate then and that's not necessary, it be like making a separate table for each character in the game. Each version has it's pluses and minuses and I find that scoring isn't much different between the two.Ok, I'll try later. But we should have one table for original and one for arcade, since original is easier. And if someones finds it harder, then I say that it's different non the least and still should be seperated for the arcade version.
I've only started playin strikers1945 again because of this damn copy of Gunbird 2 i got yesterday! Its giving me some real trouble prompting me to recall that this wasn't the first time a psikyo shooter had kicked my ass! I fair a little better at strikers but not enough to prevent the overpowering feeling that i just suck at all psikyo games!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I finally made it to stage 7 and the extra life was looming, one bomb in stock and i died a stupid, stupid, stupid death getting trapped in the middle of the screen by two central enemies...gutted, absolutely gutted.

Re: STRIKERS 1945
!!!!! You gotta find a place to post this I've seen a perfect first loop gold run of Strikers 1999, but never 1945 (which I think is harder).DEL wrote:Ok, here's Mill's (-M-) score from the London Meet on Saturday:-

I can't believe he can double loops so many games.
BOTH LOOPS
Landshark - Pls talk to Super Laydock about the Hosting of the Video. I think the 1st loop of 1945 is easier than 1999, but the 2nd Loop is NASTY!! Mills knows the positioning by heart, but there's still a lot of quick reacting to be done on the 2nd Loop. You have to stop firing when the small planes come close, + take care not to destroy the arms of certain bosses. Its also advisable to know the correct vertical positioning for triggering the 'easier' Bosses on the 2nd Loop. etc....
It took Mills a year to Master the 2nd Loop, so its well worth viewing his Replay! I think Herr Schatten will agree
